Artist Modernizes Disney Characters By Placing Them In All Sorts Of Interesting Scenarios (30 Pics)
Interview With ArtistWhile some are sworn haters of everything Disney, most of us enjoy a good Disney theme here and there. And then there's a vast number of Disney fans that love everything related to it. Well, today's post was specially made for the latter group. Have you ever wondered what if Disney characters did cameos everywhere? Or if they lived a normal modern life? An artist that calls herself OneFairyFail on Instagram satisfies all of those needs for hardcore fans of Disney, and puts them in all kinds of weird situations. It gives a glimpse of how they would react, what they would do in certain scenarios, and satisfies such "what if" curiosity to the tee.
If you want to check out the previous posts done by the artist or by me, you may check them out by clicking the links here and here. And for now... Well, enjoy the show!

The artist gave a wonderful exclusive interview to Bored Panda.
"They’re mostly inspired by something I saw on TV/in a movie or on the internet, sometimes they’re inspired by things that happened to me personally and sometimes they're just random ideas that I want to create."
"When I come up with an idea for a FairyFAIL I mostly already have the image I want to create in my head and it's usually for specific characters, so I go and search for frames from that particular movie that would fit best for my creation and I start compositing them in Photoshop accordingly. A lot of my FairyFAILS are combined with some drawing on Procreate as well, since the characters require some additions and alterations (such as facial expressions/hair/etc.)"
1Yes. Phoebe, who Cinderella's head is attached to is pregnant in this episode of Friends.
Load More Replies..."My most favorite part is seeing my FairyFAILs “come to life” as I imagined them in my head, and a lot of the time I just find myself laughing while creating them - which pretty much serves the entire purpose, I guess, cuz it means I genuinely enjoy making them, haha. My least favorite part is searching for frames from movies (that alone can take A LOT OF TIME) and not finding anything that fits my idea, or when a FairyFAIL doesn’t end up like the image I had in my mind for it... that’s when it gets most frustrating to me as an artist, not just with my FairyFAILS, but with every artwork I create."
I bet her non Disney princess friends send these to her all the time
Wait, isn’t Mulan technically not a princess, or am I mixing her up with someone else?
Well, she’s technically not a “princess” princess, but she’s officially recognized as a Disney Princess. So this can basically be taken as the quiz is basically asking a question that is answered with an obvious “yes” because she’s an official Disney Princess.
Load More Replies...Bra she aint a princess but she deserves some credit for those awesome moves and u know, SAVING A WHOLE FRIGGIN COUNTRY
"I actually already have another page of artworks that are quite melancholic and whimsical (@omerika), so I wanted to give my lighter humoristic side more room.
I guess because we all know and love Disney movies and their characters portray this perfect, magical and unrealistic image, then I love to take them to the opposite “extreme” and make them more realistic and relatable. I think it makes my creations so much more funny and interesting that way. But I actually don’t restrict my FairyFAILS solely to Disney and cartoons, I don’t rule out the possibility of expanding to other concepts. :] We’ll see where this goes."
Ursula’s morning Routine Ursula: First, I pour a whole gallon of purple foundation on my body
"My favorite Disney movie when I was a little girl was The Little Mermaid, but as I got older, ever since Tangled came out - it immediately became my all-time favorite, even when I wasn’t so little anymore, haha.
As for characters, there are a few, but I would have to pick all of my Tangled ones - Flynn Rider, Maximus and Rapunzel. Pocahontas was a favorite as well."
I can totally see Flynn saying that to Rapunzel when he broke into her tower
The original is such a great song. At least I assume the original is "Bottle of Wine", by Tom Paxton
guess somebody changed the centralperk sigh so we can read it from the inside and see this was a Friends reference.

Anastasia isn't technically Disney. I mean now it's owned by Disney but the original credit goes to Fox. Plus I believe it's the best animation movie because it's not Disney. It's extremely difficult and nuanced in a way that would have been ruined if had been attempted by Disney.
