Some Actors Will Forever Be Defined By A Character They Played, So I Photoshopped 14 Movie Posters To Illustrate What I See
Do you know the feeling when you watch a movie and see an actor, but you can only see a very striking character? When I see Henry Cavill in The Witcher, I can only see Superman! That's when I thought of this series "What people see / What I see."
I switched the main characters of 14 movies with the characters I was associating those actors with, and the result was fun! I created these works in two months using Photoshop, and I think it's worth checking out!

just realized that ben affleck and ryan reynolds are two actors who played superheroes for both the DC and MARVEL universe. cant think of anyone else from the top of my head.
I find it fascinating that the majority of actor and actresses in this thread are associated with playing superheros, superheroines, antiheroes, and villians-- I suppose they have kind of become our new "mythology" in a way. I wonder how some of these actors and actresses feel when so many fans associate them with a very specific character. I suppose that means that they did an excellent job portraying said "character" if that is who so many people tend to associate their body of work with. (Also, is it kind of sad that I would shell out money to watch some of these?)
Every actor feels different about it, I guess, depends also how loved or hated that specific film was that they're being associated with. But, from interviews, and from a logical point of view, you can see they usually do their best to pick different roles and change their image. For the good of their own career, and for their own pleasure as artists. Robert Pattinson is amongst the most famous examples of this, as he's been pretty vocal about not wanting to be associated exclusively to the infamous vampire.

I love this! And I'm the same way too. Whatever actresses and actors that I like, I don't care how many roles that they have played, I'm always going to associate them with a specific character.
I understand your point of view, but my intention in this work was not to disparage the work of the actors, but to see them in a fun way on their posters. I believe that great actors manage to be remarkable in their films and I consider that to be an excellent work. I did not want to offend but to honor some professionals.
