He does his magic by recreating these figures in the digital medium. Digital art lends itself greatly to Miguel's goal of making everything unsettling: high-definition graphics, realistic textures and many other things turn these characters into something that's a little bit too real and anatomical for sketchy animation figures.

OK, so someone whom has a deeply disturbed imagination created monstrous abominations of beloved characters from US cartoons. Not quite sure how I feel about this, besides having new nightmare fuel. If that was the intention, hats off to you, creator. Why so many have nipples, tho?

Assuming they "need help" just because they can draw unsettling things is incredibly specious and toxic. Many artists can draw disturbing things. Many authors can write disturbing things. Many directors can make disturbing movies. Would you say they all "need help" as well?
