Tova is a multidisciplinary artist based out of Toronto, Ontario. She explores the conversation of female stereotypes and social idealisms through painting, sculpture/installation, and digital media. This is visualized through the continuous use of the female form within her work; sometimes obvious in their appearance, and in others, abstracted and transcendent as a method to explore the deeper philosophical discussion associated with the institution of feminism. Her work is graphic and illustrative, paying homage to Pop Art, through the use of bold, clean lines, and vivid color stories. She resolves her compositions by hand, aspiring to obtain the precision of mechanical printing methods. Her sculptural work, primarily constructed from plexiglass, is cut mechanically through the use of laser and cnc machinery after being developed meticulously by hand, polarizing her style into the third dimension. Tova works out of her studio at the Coffin Factory in downtown Toronto.
