The dog is probably thinking "I was looking for a new owner. The old ones seemed too angry all the time for me to make them happy. Then I saw this guy strolling through the facility. He looked sad and anxious so I thought 'I better adopt him so he won't be sad or anxious anymore.' This is a picture of me and him after I convinced him to take me home. See how happy he is!""
And this wonderful man went on to adopt many more, including a pig, some rabbits and some chickens! He has an Instagram but I forget the name...

Homosexuality Has Been Decriminalised In India!

Well it's nice that you have no problem with what he does in private. But it's not a lifestyle. Men and women who are gay are born that way. Did you choose to be straight? Or do you feel that it's who you are? Well it's the same thing.

The First Time I Visited My Girlfiend (Now Wife) In College I Bought A Peach Tree From A Local Nursery And Told Her, "Someday We Will Eat Peaches From It Years From Now, Because We Will Still Be Together." Well It Worked Better Than I Planned. Here Is Our Son Eating A Peach From That Very Tree
i want to do this - please suggest fruit giving plant that would grow in UK without much maintenance
An apple tree would work. My family has blueberry bushes from which we try to pick the blueberries weekly at least. I also have blackberries, grapes (which never grow), peach trees (which the bugs get to before we do). So I'd probably suggest apple trees or blueberry bushes, or maybe strawberries. Just a tip though, for blueberries and strawberries or any berries, cover them with some sort of netting. We have a cage-like structure built for our blueberry bushes.

It only takes a few seconds more to make someone else feel human. This is a good story, but it shouldn’t need to be a special story. Stuff like this should be normal. Kudo’s to all the people (in this picture and everywhere else) who don’t mind spending a little more time and giving a little bit more attention to other people

A Police Officer Breastfeeds A Baby Neglected By Busy Hospital Staff
The news reported that the baby, one of several siblings, were brought into the hospital and had been separated from parents because they were in poor health. Being an infant of 6 months it came in crying also malnourished and the lady here instinctively reacted and asked if she could feed the baby having herself a 16 month old and clearly still breastfeeding. At no point was this baby not being fed by hospital due to being smelly or dirty. Apparently the baby was dirty but it wasn't being denied anything. The lady here simply reacted the moment the baby was brought in and staff gave her permission to breastfeed the stranger. So not sure the hospital even had a chance to feed the baby.
Load More Replies...No. The hospital staff didn't called him smelly and dirty. Just Search about the news before publish it or comment it. Her name is Celeste Ayala from Argentina.
sounds like BS to me. There is no way the staff reacted that way
That's heaven for that poor little guy right there. Nothing else in the world mattered, just that strong maternal instinct that filled his belly and soothed his mind. I hope things worked out well for him and his siblings. Apparently this officer was promoted after this incident.
There are breast milk banks in Australia, probably other places too. Nursing mothers volunteer to give milk for people that need it, and for some reason cannot. For example premi baby, the mum's milk might not come in. It seems natural for mums to share. All women produce different amounts. In the past, when we lived in villages the mums would pass the hungriest babies to the women with the most milk. All natural.
Thanks for sharing this info. Wish we could hear more of this type of compassion.

What a horrible thing to happen to such a young child. What a difference one person can make.
Yeah, that may have prevented permanent damage. Only thing the now grown Jonathon has now is a small scar. Who knows how worse it could have been if Rice did not act quickly as he did.

A Doctor Made A "Special Prescription" For An Illiterate Patient
Often a person who is considered illiterate can read some basic words. In the US, I think the criteria is an adult with less than a third grade reading level. I could be mistaken about this.
Load More Replies...I worked for Doctors for years and this is amazing what a great Doctor to give consideration to the fact the patient is illiterate.
When I was a medical interpreter our agency provided therapy to the baby of illiterate parents. When they traveled an hour away to see the specialist, mom would explain all the information and instructions given to them by the MD through an interpreter. She was detailed and never wrong; her memory and intelligence were impressive. I often think of her and hope she and her family and her 20 year old child are doing well. The baby had Down's IIRC.
This Past Weekend I Visited 5 Friends I Never Met Before Despite Knowing Them For 5+ Years, Including Joe Who Is Terminally Ill With Ewings Sarcoma. We All Met Through Online Gaming, Nobody Had Met Each Other In Person Until A Day Before This
My husband has problems with making new friends and it's always made me sad since he feels there's something wrong with him where people don't like him. His only friends are ones he met through gaming and they all live far. I went with him last year to spend Christmas with one of them and it was amazing to see how happy and comfortable he felt.
People tend to forget there's a real live living breathing person on the other end of that computer screen. The amount of cruelty and vitriol some folks throw at others online is heartbreaking. Its always great to see the positive stories like this. Where people haven't forgotten at all.
I know a married couple here in England who met through gaming, he's American and she's British. She went for a visit, and now they're happily married and living in Cornwall, South West England !!!

I pray for him every day.
My moms life span, especially now. My sisters husband died from pancreatic cancer, and my mom could be by her side, to comfort and love her, as we sisters will do, now.
I think right now, I would add at least one zero to the amount of every Hurricane Michaels insurance policies... they sure are gonna need it!
God aint that the truth, I'd rather have my dog with me for most of my life than add more to mine
The number of years my husband had left with his mother after we arrived in her home state.
Our Old Boy Is Getting Put Down Today. Somehow Our Other 2 Seem To Know, And They've Been Saying Goodbye All Morning
I had to put my cat down a few weeks back, she was 18, suffering from cancer. My other cat just seem to notice she wouldn't be with us for much longer and was so sweet, gave her baths, cuddled with her etc etc, animals are the best <3
About 8 years ago, we had to put my brother's dog down. He had already been at the vet for a few days, in hope of improvement but the vet told us they could give him a lot of daily meds (or drug him up) which would make him live maybe another year longer but there wasn't anything else they could do. We loved him so much but we couldn't bear the thought of him being in more pain (or being so drugged up) so we let him go. During the week he was at the vet, our other 2 dogs would look up expectantly every day, waiting for their friend to come home. On that last day, when we came home, they looked at us and realized he would never come home. And they just lied down, hugging each other. It was heartbreaking.
Damn. I'm ugly crying so hard right now. The thought that they knew their friend was gone is devastating. I'm sorry for your loss.
Load More Replies...I want to "down votes" this because the idea of putting a pet to sleep, smashes my heart, but the love showed by the other is in the pack is incredible. I have had to put down my cat and while it relieves their suffering it broke my heart. Somewhere I saw it posted" you give them a home they give you their whole hearts"
that happened with my girl cat Precious. He got very sick very quickly and I raced home (was out of town when I got the call) and I layed on the bed with her and her brother and he gave her licks and cleaned up her face. I put on her Princess shirt and we went to the vet. :(
when we had to put one of our dogs down we had them come to our house to do it. our other dog was locked in the house while we did it in the yard. after he passed the vet said we should let our other dog out so he can have closure. we let him out and he came over to his friend and nudged him with his nose. He knew immediately he was gone. he walked over and grabbed one of his friends favorite toys and left it by him. one of the hardest days of my life having to witness all of this but it was also extremely touching. Our other dog was fairly depressed for a while after this but we have since got him a new little brother and he completely turned around. He is now the older brother teaching his new friend the things his older brother taught him. RIP Bob you were an amazing member of our family

My Son Struggles So Much With His Autism, Everything Is A Mountain. Mowing Our Lawn Gives Him Confidence And Self Worth. His Smile Is This Huge Until He Finishes
I really hope there's more "acceptance" than awareness soon.. "Autism Awareness" is usually about this organization called Autism Speaks, which is actually a total scam (it actually supports parents who kill/abuse their kids with autism because "they're a burden")
Load More Replies...He looks so happy. Maybe he could sometimes also mow other lawns and earn some money
Half of my family is on the Autism Spectrum. My nephew lives with me, and I am his caregiver since I am considered "high functioning". It breaks my heart into pieces to live in a community with very few services for adults with Autism. My nephew desperately wants friends, but he has been hurt so many times in the past that he's afraid. There needs to be more awareness because there's way more of us than people think, and there need to be more services to help us with independent living and social skills. Please fight for these things in your community!!!!!
If he was my neighbor, I would pay him to mow my lawn just to see that smile!!

Depression. One Step At A Time! Feeling Pretty Good About Myself Right Now
I agree! Truly amazing. I also have depression and the first picture is what my corner around my chair looks like.
Load More Replies...Good for you. I went through a major depression once and I asked my therapist for advice. He told me to just make my bed. I could get right back into it immediately after, did not have to brush my teeth or wash my face, as long as I made my bed when I wake up in the morning. It saved my life. Once the bed was made, I brushed my teeth, washed my face etc, every day a little something extra. Well done to you!
Me too, pal. Making my bed first thing in the morning is the best habit I have now. Bed made, I get dressed and head for the front door, stopping only long enough to get dressed, take care of bathroom biz, turn on the coffee pot and leash my dog for our half-mile walk.
Load More Replies...I know this struggle. People don't realize that depression can make the simplest tasks feel overwhelming, and even impossible. Good job!

That's what made the US so great in the first place. Don't let hate and fear destroy all that's good about immigration.
I know. People around the world often have a bad opinion of the U. S. because they are hearing all the negative news.
Load More Replies...This is one of the aspects of our nation that makes us greater than any other - we never stopped being great until recently when we became the bully whose government hates (fears) anyone who doesn't fit its very narrow definition of a citizen of the USA - it's very sad and don't start bitching - I am not a liberal or a conservative. I believe with all that I am that things work much better when we find a place in the middle where nobody feels f'd. Governing is about compromise and working together yet both sides are turning to more extreme ways. Citizens openly hate each other because of political differences - this a very dangerous mountain that we are tumbling down with no end in sight. When a society is too conservative it atrophies whereas when a society is too liberal it burns itself out we need to get back to the middle.
People like this are what make the USA great - not cowardly politicians or greedy CEOs.
Well done. Beautiful message. Hard work and good taste (beautiful wife) 😉😋

Look it up under Dan Mink Reunited Chester. A place called Lost Box pops up and it turns out that the Marine in this case, Dan Mink, was able to reunite Chester with his original owner..the little girl that sent it to him.
This is so sweet! Quick question--why would he be mad that it said "dear soldier"?

In Norway When They Have Too Many Apples They Make It So Others Can Enjoy It
Wow.Share the bounty. One year, my son had such a large crop of tomatoes, that he was giving them away to our neighbors.

Back in the day before pit bulls got a bad rap, they were considered so wonderful and patient with children that they were called "nanny dogs". Even Petey from the original black and white Little Rascals show was a big ol' pitty!!
I recently chatted with a man who used to rehabilitate pit bulls for our local shelter. He said out of the many, many dogs he was able to help to adoptable friendliness, there was only one single dog who simply was beyond help, he'd been so badly abused. Most pit bulls are saveable, if we put a little time into working with them.

But the moment I knew she thought he was her pup was when my sister had my then 3 year old son sitting on the tailgate of her truck next to her dog. A co-worker came up to her and she introduced him to my son. When he reached out to shake my sons hand, the dog lunged forward, snapping and snarling for him to keep his distance. This dog never did anything like that before. I was scared for the coworker, but relieved to know that anywhere my sister took my son, her dog would be there to protect him.
Police Officer Pulls Over Driver With Broken Brake Lights And Proceeds To Fix Them
So this happened just now. I'm on my way to go to my interview this morning when I get pulled. Both brake lights decided to go out this time. As he walked to the car and I was pulling out my stuff, he quickly said, "Don't worry about pulling anything out. I just want you to know that your brake lights are out." So I'm immediately upset, because I just got them replaced like last month. So I explained to him how Firestone wants to charge me $600 just to run a test on the wiring of the car. He looked at me like 😨 and told me to pop the trunk. He checked the lights in the trunk and tapped them, but they didn't come on. So he told me to pop the hood to check the relay box then asked me to get out to check the other one. He could've easily given me a ticket, but Officer Jenkins stepped out of officer role and into mechanic role to make sure I was straight.
This man is a perfect example of what an officer should be. Awesome! Thank you for your service!!
Yes. He actually stepped up to his officer role and served and protected.

Good for the officer. Slightly off topic but you should shop around for a different auto repair place because Firestone is ripping you off big time. They may have quoted you that price because they don't want the job.
A cop pulled me over for speeding and the broken taillight ..I told him I had a replacement light in my glove compartment but I was not strong enough to pop off the plastic light cover and replace it myself. Huh.I thought he was going to get arrested for driving a broken car.

I'm cared for a baby robin, I made it a little home in a bush outside my house. I took care of him until he gained the strength from his wing injury. His name was scooter! <3
Seeing pictures of men saving lives instead of taking them is good for my soul.
i have a similar story. i was in my park near my house and i found a juvenile hummingbird lying in the river. we all thought it was dead until it it started twitching. i immediatly dried it of. 30 minutes later, it was flapping its wings. it sadly passed around 4 hours later, despite me giving it sugar water and a dry habitat.i have moved since then, but i have a grave for her in my old house. her name was rose, RIP Beautiful girl! at least you got another 4 hours to live!
Told One Of My Xbox Friends I Wouldn’t Be Online Much Because My Controller Wasn’t Working Very Well And I Couldn’t Afford A New One Right Now. He Asked For My Address And This Just Arrived Today
I like to imagine that these two people have never seen each other in real life. and that i am going to use this story every time someone says that online friends are not real friends, because they are real and in some cases better than the friends you see at work or school.
My best friend is an online friend. I live in Denmark, he lives in California. I've been to see him twice. We talk every day.
Load More Replies...I love the gaming community. I've made many good friends through our shared love of Forza and CoD. It doesn't matter what colour they are, that maybe we can't all speak the same language, have different childhoods and all be completely different class levels in society, the gaming community always overlooks all of these. I love it with all my heart.
I had a friend that would pay for my world of Warcraft account. We have never met in real life. He just enjoyed playing with me. Miss you Celroong
Sometimes it is about the friendship, not that actual game.
Load More Replies...I remember helping our Guild Master when she outbreak of depression. All Guild was busy to make her busy, laugh and give support. And almost all day, all week and then some taking turns..
I like the idea that sometimes online gaming connects people, where they build not only virtual friendship but real ones.
My Mom And I Went To Safeway To Get Some Groceries And We Ran Into My Dad Buying Flowers For Her
My wife saw my Jeep parked at our jeweler last month, came in the store and busted me buying her birthday present.
My parents split when I was a senior in high school. It was rough. A lot of terrible things were said and I tried for a while, but I finally decided to cut my dad out of my life. Three years later, dad showed up in my check out line at Walmart. He had flowers and... I don’t know if he had already paid for it, but I rung him up, he paid, and I collapsed into him. I cried so hard and my coworkers had no idea how to handle it. I hated not loving my dad. I needed him and I still do. He isn’t perfect, but him buying me flowers brought us together again.
My Boyfriend And I Got A Puppy Two Weeks Ago. Today I Left Him For The First Time To Start College Classes, And My Boyfriend Sent Me This
