I live in South Africa, and one of the most spoken languages (out of the 11) here is Afrikaans. It’s a great language with some interesting words.
I did some funny illustrations of direct translations of Afrikaans compound words that mean something completely different.

Share on FacebookI was hoping, as someone who also understands Dutch, to find my favourite Afrikaans word translated, namely: verkleurmannetje. For those not in the know, it's Afrikaans for Chameleon and literally means "changing colour little man"
