My food art journey began with bento boxes. In 2016, my then 4-year-old son used to be a picky eater and would only eat food that looked fun and interesting. I started making him lunchboxes that included animal-shaped rice balls, SpongeBob-inspired sandwiches, etc.
To be honest, the process of making bento boxes was not easy — it takes a lot of time and skill to make properly, at least at the beginning, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll enjoy and love it, especially when your child starts to eat better and healthier.
