Bullied Teen Designs Her Own Prom Dress To Fight Bullying And Becomes Prom Queen
272Kviews
18-year-old Kyemah McEntyre designed a prom dress is anything but typical. The New Jersey resident, inspired by her African heritage, had a local seamstress from Markell’s Closet hand-sew the dress from McEntyre’s sketch. She explained the motivation behind her dress on Instagram and Twitter:
“I am 18 years old and I am undoubtedly of African Descent. As an artist I have a completely different point of view compared to most individuals. I am extremely analytical and observant,” McEntyre writes. “This is for always being labeled as, ‘ugly’ or ‘angry’. Thank God, stereotypes are just opinions.”
McEntyre was chosen to be prom queen, and this fall she will be attending the Parsons School of Design.

i just don't understand those ready-to-jump-out boobs on a Prom party.... hmm
OMG, A beautiful girl in an absolutely beautiful dress and you have a problem with her boobs! Get a freaking life would you! quit worrying about what others do or don't do and worry about yourself! I think she looks wonderful.....
You just contradicted yourself. "Get a freaking life would you! Quit worrying about what others do or don't do and worry about yourself!" ...And then you continue to express your opinion on someone else. If you're allowed to have an opinion, so is she. Stfu.
Actually, most schools are very strict about how much skin is allowed to show. I think she is very beautiful and so is the dress she designed.

Come on, Mike. Those "girls" wouldn't be allowed to go to prom. What possible effect could showing your whole chest do to deter bullies? By the way, I love the dress as it is stunning but ruined by the show.
Yeah, a girl who have boobs, SHOCKING.
True ☺☺ but she got a lot of spirit..
Oh please, will you guys stop being so dramatic? All she's saying is that this is a bit too revealing for a high school prom dress. Both the girl and the dress looks awesome, but if I was her mother, I would never let her go like that to a prom. Just sayin'.
every woman has boobs. just because you can actually see them now doesn't mean you have to go overboard with your reaction. jfc get used to boobs
Side boob doesn't have a tendency to pop out, usually what happens is the posture shifts and causes the fabric to gap away from the body and allow those standing at her side to get a peek inside the dress. Fashion tape and good posture can definitely make those peek-a-boob moments a minimal risk AND what’s more, Kyemah’s dress design with it’s smooth front and closed neck in back also help to keep the fabric in place. When done right, side boob is absolutely stunning and tasteful, especially when it’s paired with a full skirt and longer sleeves - it's beautifully done.

don't look now, but her dress also features a prominent design shaped like a vagina. but you probably don't understand it because you're not not an "analytical and observant artist" like her, with "completely different point of view from most individuals". jokes a side/ nice dress but holy shit the arrogant pretentiousness on this one...
How on earth could she have been called ugly? Many people in New Jersey need a new pair of glasses....
She is ADORABLE! Ugly? FAR from it!
Gorgeous! I wouldn't mind wearing a dress designed by her ;)
Me too and I am a fella.
