When not working on finishing my Master’s degree, I travel the world with my little friend Skalman.
It started a little while ago, when a friend of mine made me a crochet tortoise. Travelling to London a few days later, I decided to bring it with me and take some funny pictures to send her. However, after some sightseeing in the English capital, he (no longer “it”) got a taste of adventure.
Since then, me and Skalman have visited number countries together. I don’t know if he is the first crochet tortoise to who tasted Ugandan food or got drunk at a Swedish festival, but he is certainly the only one to have walked down Via Dolorosa with a cross on Good Friday, or to have been held at a border crossing for 6+ hours. Here are some shots from our first trips.

Just epic!
A Midsummer Night’s Dream
In Sweden, Midsummer is maybe the most important tradition of the year. Most people make a crown of flowers to wear during the celebrations. Skalman did it too, of course.
Never Drinking Again. Ever
The Bråvalla Festival 2014 went a bit mad, sort of. I think. I can’t really remember. Neither can Skalman.

Visiting The Relatives
Skalman wasn’t overly impressed after I dragged him to the National History Museum in London to “meet some of his relatives”.

When not travelling, Skalman sometimes helps me with my studies, too!
