Influencers, as they love to be known as, are in a league of their own. And while some are genuinely lovely, down-to-earth human beings, others are quite the opposite. Whether they're planting their behinds on seats reserved for people with disabilities or doing dangerously stupid things like entering burning, evacuated buildings for the perfect selfie, their antics leave little to be desired.
Often, they're so short of self-awareness, and so obsessed with chasing clout, that they have no idea there's another camera capturing their every move. This influencer apparently has been using a known toxic gel polish brand, Beetles, on her dog for 8 years. If you look this brand up you get hundreds of people getting horrid skin/ nail issues and allergic reactions to it. She claims this is safe, and her dog doesn’t mind any of this. But if you look closely you can see her poor dog already has skin issues. Dogs are known to chew on their feet, so the poor thing has probably ingested some of this. I watched her livestream and she said if they don’t want her to do this then to send her money for better products. This actually made me cry as she said shes been doing this for years and knows her dog is sick. Im tired of influencers abusing their animals for content. There is a mom that pops up on my Youtube shorts who will film herself with an empty stroller doing skits because she doesn't want to show her kids on camera, which I think is a good thing. I don't inherently think doing skits and posting them online is bad. It's about respect and consent if you're filming in public.

This is Panamanian "influencer" Gracie Bon, who appeared a couple of times in another recent BP article about distorted social media images. It should be noted, her body as shown here is real, or lightly edited at most. By which I mean that she has this figure in real life; she claims to have the medical condition lipedema, and acknowledges having had some surgical work done, like a tummy tuck, but denies a BBL. Her choice to pose amid earthquake rubble earlier this month, however, following Panama's major earthquake on October 9th, is fair game. She defended herself, claiming to be "raising awareness."

Eh this one doesn't seem too bad. Again, I don't think posting content online is inherently bad, they're not being disruptive, they're being silly and choosing to share it. They're not blocking anything, they're not bothering anyone, they're not filming anyone else.
