We have them in every store in Sweden too and not just for plastic but for cans too. You get 1 or 2 kr per bottle depending on the size.

We do, but we cannot yet use them to directly pay for a fare, which was the genius part here :)

Best top for at the dentist is use ear buds to listen to music once treatment starts...You barely notice the drill or anything when you have music masking the vibrations etc...try it you will be amazed!

    What is Considered First World?

Since the Cold War, the world has been “unofficially” divided into first, second, and third world. Historically, the first world was the Western bloc, led by the United States. Second world—Eastern bloc, led by the Soviet Union. The third world was known as a non-aligned movement.

Today, these terms have different meanings. The first world is usually considered developed. Countries that fall into this category have to meet rather harsh criteria:

    • High GDP per capita.
    • Advanced infrastructure.
    • Stable government (or democratic government).

High comfort levels in these countries allowed first-world problems to become part of the meme culture. More on that later.

As weird as it sounds, some students can't listen without doing something else, like fiddling. This would be ideal.

Cool. I'd be happy if the developers of Mazda's s****y audio system allowed it to have a frelling OFF button. It refuses to stay silent when media isn't selected. It will randomly play MP3s on connected devices or play the radio, rather than not play anything at all and just be silent. Talk about forgetting the basics.

Won't change anything. People who don't want to wear a seatbelt will ignore this and just buy the end of the seat belt that connects into the lock.

nice... but really the only reason we don't bring our bikes indoors is because they are big a*s pieces of metal... skateboards are not nearly as cumbersome. especially since a lot of packs have skateboard storage so they are stored away but still handy. This solves no problems..

Gas stations in Korea have employees who fill up your tank for you. :) The man in the blue and white shirt is said employee. You don't have to worry about doing it yourself or worry about reaching the gas pump.

Strange. I never had problem with pump. Its just quite long, so there is no difference from which side to use it. If gas pump will be above, it will drip fuel on you and your car.

What Else Needs to Be Invented?

Before coming up with a solution, you should ask yourself: What problem needs to be solved? Innovations are the fruits of problem-solving. If you are looking for problems to solve, sometimes it’s enough to simply look around the house. You will find some everyday problems that need solutions right now.

In rare cases, your product may become too good to hide, but you can always sell it as many entrepreneurs do. Your new invention might even appear on the internet for millions to see. We call it a win-win.

What if you aren't anywhere near that place in the shop? The only reason things get put back onto the wrong shelves is cause people are too far away or can't find the right shelf again. (I assume there is only one of these places in the shop because it says 'a place', not several places)

I think cuz in some countries, Norway for example, you get 1kr (norwegian currency) each time you recycle a bottle or a can at the grocery store. So for many homeless people digging through trashcans is a simple way to get money. I imagine that rack makes it a bit less humiliating for them.

As long as the floor stayed clean and water was removed after a day or so, no problem. Rain water is clean, it's the surface it lands in that can make it dirty. People catch rain water for multiple things.

Well, the fact that most of Asia doesn't track dirt into the home because shoes are taken off at the entrance probably prevents the water from getting dirty. This is in Japan, one of the cleanest countries in the world.

Wouldn't it be more helpful to the kitchen staff to be able to leave them a tip in cash? You can only do one thing with a six pack. With cash, you can purchase whatever you want like diapers, bus tickets, food, and also help pay utilities and rent. Beer just turns all the kitchen help into alcoholics.

I know this sounds kinda strange, but in China, according to my Mainland Chinese adult learners, everyone uses QR codes and smartphones - even beggars. Of course new smartphone models are too expensive, but even their old/obsolete models (which are often thrown in the trash) can scan QR codes. In any case, they need the phones for everything, including government IDs and government tracking... so yeah, there are pros and cons to the arrangement.

If you put shaving cream on the mirror and wipe it off before the shower, the mirror won't fog up and it would save you the money of installing one of these.

It depends on WHERE in your kitchen you want to place it, not which hand is your dominant one. Ease up.

I live in Canada and I'd say 1 in 10 stalls have a big space between the stall door and the stall walls. In most cases its a tiny/small gap

They wouldn't need something to fill the space if they were built properly in the first place!

I think they need to reinvent the standard bathroom stall door. It's ridiculous for this to be so common and to have to spend extra to fix.
