The spooky season is upon us, so what better time to get into some scary stories than today? The benefits of engaging with spooky content abound: cultural enrichment, brain stimulation, and you can even burn a few calories while being scared!

The owner of the photo said that he was just doing some remodeling work in the house when his dog started acting really spooked. The dog froze and kept staring at the work bench area for no reason. He snapped a quick picture of the room and when he looked at his screen he saw this huge white mist floating right above the saw. He swears no one was smoking in the house and the saw was turned off so there was zero sawdust in the air. You can even see how the mist seems to trail right past where the dog is looking. The owner of this photo said they were just taking some normal pictures outside with friends and there was absolutely nobody standing behind them. The owner of this photo said they work in IT and were just taking a quick picture of this location to send to their manager. They swear they were completely alone while doing their job. They didn't even notice anything strange with their own eyes while standing in that room. It was only when they went to text the photo that they spotted the massive dark figure standing in the doorway on the far left. The owner of this photo said they uncovered it hidden away in a locked chest belonging to their great grandfather. He was supposedly a local minister who secretly attended underground seances in the early nineteen twenties. Just look at the center of that table. They claim that glowing apparition completely materialized out of thin air while the group was trying to contact a relative who passed away. What is creeping into the frame on the bottom right of this family picture?
The owner of the photo said that they just wanted a sweet memory of the new baby resting in the living room. Nobody else was standing there when the flash went off. But when the film came back from being developed, this massive glowing shape was practically reaching out right next to them. Some folks think it is a guardian angel or a passed relative coming to check on the newborn. Others say it looks like a classic spirit manifestation walking right past the camera lens.

There is a very clear face peering out from behind the guy in the middle. The wildest part is they claim that is their grandmother who passed away years ago. The owner of the photo said that they were just kicking it at a weekend party and snapping some regular pics with friends. But when they checked their phone the next morning they got absolute chills. Look closely at the red circle and that arm holding the red cup. Both guys standing there have their arms accounted for and the person taking the picture was holding the camera. The owner of this photo said this. My sister keeps losing her ring in the outside world only for it to find its way back to her room weeks later. She received it years ago at a gathering from a woman who walked a different path. The first time it vanished at school it waited weeks before appearing on her nightstand. It slipped away again a few months ago and was found resting on her bedroom floor. Just weeks ago she left it behind in a changing room and forgot about it. She returned but it was gone. She searched her pockets and asked her companions but it had vanished entirely. This morning while moving garments left untouched for over a year she found the ring waiting beneath them. The silver shows a winding shape. I learned this is a triskele representing the endless cycle of life and infinite motion. The stories say this shape brings protection and that an object returning time and again is bound to a person and their home. We do not usually follow these beliefs but we cannot explain this. We spoke of leaving it behind on purpose to see if it returns to her room. We only wonder if testing this energy would bring unexpected consequences.

The owner of the photo said that they were just trying to snap a quick picture of their dog relaxing on the bed. They noticed the pup was acting a bit spooked, staring hard past the camera and not paying attention to anything else. When they went back to look at the photo later on, their blood ran cold. The owner of this photo said they went to Waverly Hills Sanatorium for a ghost hunt this July. They mentioned this is one of the photos they got and all they tweaked was the saturation and reduced the shadows from the original shot. Take a good look at that open doorway on the right side of the hall. There is a massive shadow figure just standing there watching them. Did you ever look closely into the dark shadows of an old house and realize something was looking right back at you?
The owner of the photo said that the entire second floor of this haunted house was completely empty when the camera flashed. Nobody was supposed to be up there. But once the film was developed in the darkroom, this little boy appeared out of nowhere, peeking around the staircase railing with solid white glowing eyes. This quickly became one of the most famous ghost pictures ever taken. Take a good look at the direct comparison in image.png where folks match the spirit face to the living portrait of young John DeFeo. The facial structure and the hair match up in a way that is incredibly hard to ignore. It really makes you stop and wonder what kind of restless energy stays behind when a terrible tragedy happens.

The owner of this photo said this: We cannot figure out what this is! The first pic I circled what we are looking at, second pic is enhanced to 4K resolution and colorized, third pic shows during the day there is not a tree there. At first we thought it was a tree with a knot but pic 3 shows that is not the case.
I have been setting up trail cameras out in the brush for a long time and this one genuinely gives me the creeps. If you look closely at the night time shot, the deer even seem alert and aware of whatever that massive shape is standing back there in the dark. It makes absolutely no sense that a huge solid figure appears at night but completely vanishes by morning.

The owner of this photo said this picture is from the late 1940s in England. This is a snapshot of their great aunt when she was a little girl with her dad. The family says they were the only ones in the garden that afternoon. But later on when they looked at the printed photo they saw that face hiding in the bushes. To this day nobody can explain it and they really think it might be a genuine ghost photo captured on film.

The owner of this photo said they were just checking out some local roads on a mapping app when they noticed something totally off in the tree line. Take a good look at that red circle. When you zoom in it really looks like a pale grey face with dark hollow eyes staring right back out from the leaves. Some people will definitely call it pareidolia where your brain just makes up faces in shadows and branches but it looks way too clear to me. The owner of this photo said they found this old picture hidden in a box from an estate sale and it has them completely freaked out. It shows a group of kids holding hands in a circle around a giant dark pentagram drawn on the floor. While the primary focus is on the grieving family, he tells an incredible story about the reflection visible on the dark window right behind them. Many believe you can see a distinct apparition of a man’s face appearing faintly over the mourners.
He says this reflection is his grandfather—the deceased woman’s husband—who had already been passed away for at least five years when this picture was taken. He doesn’t usually believe in ghosts, but this photo gets to him. His girlfriend thinks it's probably just a technical glitch or a reflection from the old film camera, but the owner highly doubts that, especially since the family was so spooked by it that they burned other photos from that day in horror.

So this is a picture of me and my older sister around 2008 or 2009, a few weeks after she broke her arm from a trampoline accident. My nana always loves taking photos on whatever camera she has in hand and took some for my birthday obviously and was looking back at the time after she shot a few and saw this. The bright mist you see reaching out from the pale stone face in the first photograph was not added later. It is a raw capture taken straight from an old digital camera.
They provided the next two images taken only moments apart to show the truth of the space. The shadows rest at the exact same angle upon the grass but the strange sweeping energy is entirely gone. The large stone face stands quiet again. The owner is an experienced photographer who has taken over a hundred thousand pictures in their lifetime. They know how the sun plays tricks and creates normal flares on glass. But they noticed a detail that defies natural rules. The sun sits in the upper left corner of the sky. A normal trick of the light would cast its glare in the opposite direction. This bright anomaly breathes outward toward the upper right directly from the unmoving statue.
They questioned if a winged creature or insect flew past but knew they would have seen its physical form. After taking thousands of pictures with this exact camera since that day they have never captured another strange light like this one. We are left asking if this is a rare mechanical glitch or a paranormal energy revealing itself around the pale stone figure. Look closely at the shapes and the light. Someone took this picture inside a temple down in Sahuayo, Michoacán, Mexico. The person who took it said everything felt totally normal while they were there. It wasn't until later, when they were scrolling through their photos, that they spotted something really creepy.

In February 2020, we took a girls trip back to the Crescent Hotel. I was so excited to do the ghost tour and show this picture to our guide. But when I pulled it up and showed her, she totally brushed it off and said it was fake. I was pretty bummed that she dismissed it so fast, but my grandma didn't care at all. She knows for a fact the photo was never edited, and the rest of our family believes her too. Whatever is standing at the end of that hallway is a total mystery, making this easily one of the creepiest photos our family has ever seen.

Something strange in an unused hospital room? About 20 years ago I worked nights at a rural hospital. A friend suggested that during some down time we take pictures around the hospital for fun to see if anything paranormal showed up. This was just a standard digital camera, no flash. Down a hall of unused rooms, we just opened the doors, shot into the dark rooms and moved on. A while later he looked at the pictures and one had something that we could not explain. Went back and looked in that room and there was nothing in that spot. I can kind of make out a face maybe? It could be nothing but plenty of people had died there over the years. The first darker picture is unedited. The second is just brightened up showing a distinct grayish face looking right at the camera from behind a cardboard box. The final photo circles exactly where the anomaly is standing among the stacked chairs and medical clutter. Our reflections are in the window at the back.

The follower who sent me these photos shared an absolutely wild paranormal experience from Bar Harbor Maine. They told me that back in September 2020 they decided to go on a local ghost tour to celebrate a birthday. The tour guide took their group near a church and explained that the dirt path they were walking on still had bodies buried beneath it. Apparently the town moved the old headstones a long time ago but left the actual graves right where they were.
The person who took the bottom pictures said they got a super eerie feeling and lagged behind the rest of the tour group. They turned around and snapped a picture of the completely empty path behind them. It was only later when reviewing their camera roll that they spotted this solid dark figure standing completely alone in the distance. You can see the zoomed in version of this shadow on the bottom left.
Here is where the story gets really crazy. Almost exactly one year later, the company running the ghost tour posted a photo taken by a completely different tourist on that exact same path. The top two photos show that second sighting looking from the opposite direction. Just like the first time, that second photographer swore the walkway was totally empty when they took the picture.

The absolute creepiest part is that the staircase and green wallpaper match their main hallway perfectly but the local historian told them that specific chandelier was taken down over forty years ago. The owner of this photo had this to say. I took this image about 20 years ago and I am not really sure what to make of it. I would love to get your opinion. Maybe you can even debunk it or maybe not. Personally I do not believe it to be a ghost and usually lean toward camera or light trickery. That said the circumstantial evidence really does point to a ghost. Here is the backstory. This photo was taken with a disposable camera back in 2007 while studying abroad in Cameroon. During one of our down days the professor decided to take us to a sacred cave inhabited by spirits located in the nearby mountain range. We were guided by the local kids to the cave entrance. As foreigners we were not allowed to go much deeper than a few feet past the entrance. I did not see anything out of the ordinary but was told that children can see the spirits residing in the cave. That is when I snapped the photo on my disposable camera. After returning home I had the photos developed. That is when I saw it. The ghostly figure standing between the two children who appear to be looking right at it. I am a skeptic of any ghost photos as they are easy to fake. This one however is special to me because it is mine, I took it, and this is exactly how the photo came back from the lab.

The yard is totally locked up and nobody else was around. Take a close look at that red circle. What are we looking at here folks? Is this a full body apparition or just some weird light playing tricks?

The owner of this photo said they woke up in the middle of the night feeling like they were being watched from the open doorway. They grabbed their phone and snapped a quick picture from their bed right before turning on the lights. If you look closely at the dark hallway, there is a tall shadowy figure peeking around the doorframe right into the bedroom. It looks way too solid to just be a trick of the light. What do you guys think this is? Have you ever caught a shadow person or something creepy like this on camera in your own house?

The owner of this photo said this was taken at a private indoor gathering and nobody was smoking anywhere near the room. They just wanted to grab a quick picture of the person speaking at the podium but when they checked the photo later this thick white mist showed up right over the older man sitting in the front. People who have seen it are totally split. A lot of folks claim it is just a camera strap catching the flash but others are absolutely convinced it is a real spirit manifestation caught on camera. If you look closely it almost looks like an energy trail reaching out across the room. Could it be a guardian angel or a loved one checking in from the other side during a special event. Take a good look and tell me what you think is really going on here.

Apparently those downvoting GA do...All of these will have a normal explanation, and some are so obvious they have no right to be included. Shadows, double exposures, light effects, smoke, insects, and fakes for a laugh - none is a real photo of a ghost, especially when one considers the mechanics of how a photo is created.
