Weddings are supposed to bring people together, but sometimes the only thing they offer is drama.
Recently, Reddit user No_Lavishness_7268 shared a wild ride of a ceremony where nothing went as planned and chaos reigned from start to finish. From a drunk groom to a completely ignored dress code and melted ice cream for dessert, it was less of a special day and more of a “what the heck is going on?” one.
If you’ve ever wondered what happens when no one communicates and everyone’s just winging it, this wedding might just be the ultimate example.

And even though it already started on a bad note, somehow things just managed to get worse and worse

The whole ordeal will certainly be remembered
The Knot asked their community to list the wedding moments and trends they dislike, and many of the things that made the list were also present at this particular event, including slow food service, late-night cake (or, in this case, ice cream), unassigned seating, a lack of reception activities, and so on.
It almost feels like the couple intentionally curated a checklist of the biggest pet peeves and invited everyone to witness it.
A 2023 study of 1,000 seasoned wedding guests revealed that the top things people remember from your big day are:
- a well-made wedding website;
- delicious food;
- tasty drinks;
- great music;
- a beautiful venue;
- unique entertainment and activities;
- reliable transportation;
- a schedule that runs smoothly;
- and a happy couple.
It’s a pity the Redditor’s brother-in-law and his bride couldn’t deliver. But as frustrating, disappointing, and embarrassing as it was, it’s just one day. Hopefully, their subsequent marriage will be less chaotic than that.
As her story went viral, the woman provided more information in the comments

I love that the groom says he needs to give his wife a redo on their 20th but every event they've organised since then has also been a chaotic disaster. Does he think that is suddenly going to change for their 20th anniversary?
I loved how she commented on it and was apologetic and ended with lol. I lol'd at that one.
