While I only wish I could afford it, there are LOTR fans I know who would easily pay $500 for that - maybe even more. ************* If you could find a supply of similar boxes, would you make it again if someone were willing to pay?

Tnx!! Actually I didn't had plans to sell it, just made one for myself because I'm a big fan of LOTR. Who knows, maybe in the future, but first I have to ask for permissions from LOTR creator before I decide to do anything.

Who knows, maybe in the future, but definitely I'll ask for permissions before I decide to do anything. Since you mentioned it, do you know how to get permission? I mean, I just write a letter to LOTR creater & Parker Brothers and wait for a reply? Never done that so if you know anything I would like to hear your opinion :)

I was a graphic designer for a famous candy company and was one of the people that was "the keeper of the brand" and had to make sure the brand adhered to certain standards... One thing was making sure the brand wasn't being use without the companies permission. I would first contact Peter Jackson (he's the creator of LOTR) to see if you can use the LOTR likeness and then get a hold of Parker Brothers on using the Monopoly brand. I'd start with their facebook pages. Neither are public domains (50 years or older) and can not be used without permission, or you can be sued for using/selling it for profit. Just a heads up.
