Honu, I had to chuckle when I read your comment. I'm 70 years old and I still meet young people who think I'm going to be shocked by sex or profanity or even mini skirts. They either don't know or have forgotten that it was the baby boomer generation that finally did such things out in the open--and are the reason they can do it out in the open, too.

My father's name was Vittorio but he always called himself Victor. He used that name everywhere--social security, taxes, leases, driver's license, insurance, etc. I don't recall that he ever had a single problem because of that.

I love how hypocritical people can be. The BP motto seems to be, "to each their own" and people get downvoted to oblivion for being slightly mean. Other times, it's a free for all to crap all over people's personal choices that have ZERO effect on other people's lives. I like to call BP "Reddit Lite" or sometimes even "Snowflake Reddit" but I've found that the people who use BP can be and indeed are just as nasty as a Reddit troll. This person's fingernails are not the point of the post nor should they be because they're a personal choice that has absolutely no effect on anyone else's life. As an introvert, I can very tired of my extrovert friends trying to "help" me by pressuring me or tricking me into going to a party. They seem to think that I just must really really want to go to parties (or whatever) but I have some mental illness that makes me afraid to go. No, it's that I find parties boring. I have much more fun staying home reading a book or watching a movie. Can you not comprehend that I might have different preferences than you? If I said I didn't like apricots and you think apricots are the best food ever, would you find it necessary to "help" me by force-feeding me apricots?
