Celebrities are people (mostly). They weren't all born rich. Many of them are generous people. Yes, I'd love to be rich, but just being jealous of those who are hurts me, not them. And note that in the US most of us live in accommodations that would seem like complete luxury to the poorest people in the world. Should we feel guilty about that?

I dont think we should judge just because its not our situation. They worked hard for what they have and so in desperate times they are more comfortable and we shouldnt be jealous because we should have worked harder.

We all have carbon footprints and we're all trying our best to combat that (especially in the last 10 years or so). Some of them are worrying about people who do not have money and a lot of them have setup fundraisers for the causes they support.

I've understood why people get so offended and jealous about famous people - they are human beings just like us and they work hard just like us. No it isn't fair that all of them get paid more than teachers, NHS workers and customer service people but they still work hard. Most them also employ hundreds if not thousands of people and run their own businesses. They can get ill and die just like us from this coronavirus, how about having some empathy for them as well?

I don't see why people are offended. Yes, it's disgusting and they're lucky. However, you've been following those celebrities on a platform made for bragging about what they have life. How is it different than before when they showed the million dollars houses, boats etc?

I love Kourtney's photos! It is gorgeous and I would love to be in lock down there. And the video JLo posted is super cute! Glad that kiddo has the space to have fun and let that energy out! These people worked their asses off to get where they are. I think it is complete ignorance and jealousy of the people who bash them for "being comfortable" or "flaunting their wealth". If you don't like it, don't look at it. You don't know what they do in their personal lives, you just see a post or photo and judge based on that. Which shows how shallow people can be. Getting upset over what? What you perceive to be 100% the full extent of someones life? UGH!! I didn't mean to rant. Truly. It is just so irritating. Lol On another note, I really love to see the neat things other people have and get to do w/in their homes or on their property. Especially the photo of Kourtney riding her horse!! I wish I had land like that for riding, during a lock down or not!! It is beautiful where she is!!

It is sad that people are so angry. These celebrities have (mostly) earned the paycheck that got them their mansions and such. And we paid for them. But you know what else we paid for? We paid for that customer service rep's new car. We paid for that Buger King employee's gold chains, watch, shoes, etc. We paid for everything that everyone has because we were a patron of the service(s) they provide. So who the hell cares if someone has a pillow fort that is bigger than one's apartment. They earned that. If you don't think so, maybe you should try to do it yourself if it matters that much to you. We are ALL in this together. A cure for the virus is just as important to a celebrity as it is to anyone else. They are welcoming you into their home with their videos and pictures like ordinary people do. Spite and bile will not help anyone fight the virus. Compassion, kindness, and love will.

I live in a small apartment and work as a delivery driver and even I would be okay with being in isolation because I would find other things to do to occupy my time. I have already been through an experience like this because of getting sick so bad that I couldn't leave my house for two weeks straight. It's not just the celebrities that are out of touch with what's going on, all of society is out of touch with each other.

I absolutely agree. Being rich doesn't help you when it's comes to the essential thing we need the most: our friends and families. My mom lives just a minute away and I can't hug her. That hurts. Digital contact is just no substitute for real human interactions.

Maybe these celebrities have a clumsy approach to the matter (to put it nicely), but don't forget the story of the ants and the cricket. When the hard working ants finally decided to help the cricket, they appreciated the entertainment, which was motivating. And indeed, what are people doing the most in the quarantine? Streaming, films, series, videogames.... Sure, I appreciate and agree that the medical, food, and service workers are truly the backbone of our society, and it shows, and, sure, celebrities might be overpaid, true (especially the ones whose reasons to be famous is just... being famous), but let's not go to other extremes. I, for once, appreciate also the artists (the real ones).

In the case of the "breakdown" thing from Sam Smith, that kind of thing seems fair. No matter how comfortable your home is or how well stocked your fridge is, if you can't see your loved ones you're gonna feel like s**t.

I will probably get downvoted and that is fine, but what I am getting is an extreme form of jealousy. Most of these people worked hard to get where they are and should be able to enjoy their success. Even people who live in a 12 million dollar home get tired of having to be confined to it 24/7. All the money in the world can't stop the walls from closing in on you. Instead of remarking on the size of their homes or the stuff like that how about not being a follower of theirs on social media. He says that the celebrities are being insensitive, but he is by forgetting that like the rest of us, they are human.

This article is so toxic! Why are people so envious of other people's happiness and well being? Just because you don't have a luxurious house and you can't afford what they can, it doesn't mean that you have to get all salty about it. It doesn't mean that NONE deserves to live in luxury just because you can't afford it. Most of those people faced a lot of ups and down in their careers, worked day and night to get where they are now, sacrificed a lot and compromised a lot but sure, get offended because they are well paid for their work and cause they don't live in s****y homes but when you enjoy their movies and their songs, it doesn't matter anymore, does it? Or maybe you expect actors and musicians to work for free, for your entertainment.

This Teacher Was Surprised By A Straight A+ Student Who Asked To Give His 5 Bonus Points To Any Peer With The Lowest Test Score

The point of this story is a simple act of kindness. Let's acknowledge and appreciate that the A+ student sacrificed his points for his fellow student. Passing the test with the five points made that kid's day. It will hopefully teach him to pay it forward and perhaps encourage him to push himself to earn the five points on his own. Odds are that the 5 points being added to a test isnt going to happen every time. I'm just glad that there are kids out there willing to help their peers when the need it.

I agree with you, the US soldiers had no business in Vietnam. I'm neither North American nor Vietnamese but it pains me as well to see that US soldiers are praised so many times for their "bravery", when in fact they went and killed lots of innocent people because they were told you. People seem to keep forgetting that you CAN disobey orders. Of course, they were forced, I am well aware of that but if all the soldiers were to put down their weapons and disobey orders, there would be none left to fight their leaders' wars. It's Utopic but it should happen. I am so very sorry for what your country went through and for still suffering because of it :(

So far I enjoyed the photos but this baby elephant doesn;t seem to be too happy to have you both near him. You shouldn't support these kind of animal businesses. In Thailand there's lots of elephant "sanctuaries" who just make money out of the elephants' back, without actually treating them well.
