What is with people thinking wheelchair is only for leg paralysis? Like if you have any other condition that might make it hard to stand up or walk for long periods, hard cheese you have to drag yourself around?

I have mobility issues, don't use a wheelchair and could never cross my legs, not even as a child. Disabilities aren't the same to everyone.

Friend of mine used to be able to get around with a walker at home, but needed a wheelchair for longer distances, back then she could cross her legs too. She's sadly now electric wheelchair bound because of further mobility loss.

My MIL uses a wheelchair outside her home because of a broken back. She can walk but not for long. Fortunately, when people see how hard it is for her to stand up and how long it takes, unlike this stupid guy, they don't deny she has a real handicap.

We discharge patients using wheelchairs on a daily basis and many have perfectly normal use of their legs. It’s like the people posting this stuff are just imbeciles…

Dear Lord, this is just someone that doesn't get out much or mix with other people. Wheelchairs are used for so many different reasons. A person may be able to walk but not for very long, for example. Not every wheel chair user is paralysed from the waist down. In fact, I'd say that's quite unusual.

My grandmother was confined to a wheelchair and could cross her right leg over her left leg. The left side of her body was paralyzed. I wonder what she would have to say about this idiot and his idiotic statements.
