In the realm of comic artists and community, it's not uncommon for artists to draw inspiration from their 'colleagues'. Yet, "Machine Yearning Comics" stands out as a unique exception regardless of that fact. This creator 'cooks' comics that often surprise his followers with some rather unforeseen twists and dark themes.

The artist shares, "My primary aim is to create comics that captivate and entertain me. If others appreciate them too, it's an added delight." While they may not have the widespread acclaim some artists achieve, fans of darker comics will undoubtedly find their work more than just entertaining (click here for part 1).

Bored Panda reached out to the artist behind "Machine Yearning Comics" with some new questions based on the last interview!

When asked about where he draws inspiration, the artist humorously remarked, "Oh man, unexpected sources? You'd be surprised! One time, I got inspired by the way my coffee spilled on the table. It created this funny pattern, and bam! That evening, it turned into a comic strip about coffee conspiracies. Life's unpredictable like that, and I love drawing from its quirkiest moments."

On the topic of artistic growth, he shared, "A while back, someone pointed out how my characters always seemed to have the same facial expressions. At first, I thought, 'Well, that's just my style!' But then I played around with more dynamic emotions, and it really brought a new depth to my work. Change is hard but often worth it."

When probed about recurring characters in his comics, he hinted, "I've been toying with the idea of introducing a recurring character – maybe a quirky cat or a sassy toaster, who knows? There's a doodle in my notebook of a pigeon with a detective hat, and I'm still figuring out his backstory. So, stay tuned!"

Speaking about feedback from readers, the comic artist candidly expressed, "Feedback's a double-edged sword. While it's great to hear praises, criticisms can sting. But over time, I've learned to take it in stride. Not every comment demands a change, but some have genuinely helped me see areas of improvement. So, a big shout-out to my Reddit critics; you keep my pencils sharp!"

On managing his passion for comics with other tasks, he elaborated, "Juggling comics with other things isn't easy. I've had moments where I’m working on something completely unrelated, and an idea for a comic pops up. I quickly jot it down on whatever's nearby – napkins, bills, even my own hand! Both worlds influence each other, and that's the beauty of it. Keeps the creative juices flowing!"
