Adele Barbaro, the woman behind the blog ‘The Real Mumma‘ has based her online presence on honest and raw insights into parenthood and family life in general, and one of her recent TikTok mini-series is an excellent example of just how amusing everyday life can be.

Barbaro has been sending her husband pics of herself wearing the clothes she wants to buy, asking for his opinion before making the final decision, and over time he developed quite the strategy for his replies. Instead of a meaningless template response, the hubby uses Photoshop to show Adele the places, people, and situations all those dresses and t-shirts remind him of.

“My husband and I have been together about ten years now,” Barbaro told Bored Panda. “Our marriage has always been based on humor and fun. We love making each other laugh.”

The woman said she doesn’t ask his opinion on every item she buys, just the ones she’s unsure about.

By now, Adele knows what to expect whenever she sends such a pic, so sometimes she does it just for fun.

“If I try on a dress I don’t like now, I send it to him to see where his silly mind goes with it,” she said.

However, next to funny pics, Adele’s husband also tells her what he really thinks about the clothes

“He usually texts and says, ‘I really love this one’ or he is honest when he isn’t a fan! It’s actually really helpful!”

After posting the second one, Adele said she’ll make part three if enough people ask

“The secret to our relationship is humor,” Barbaro said. “Life is busy and chaotic and stressful. Having a partner who makes you laugh, is wonderful.”

And as much as it is her opinion, it’s also a fact. In a study, conducted with 3,000 married couples from 5 countries, both husbands and wives were found to be happier with a humorous partner. (However, this trait was reported to be more important for the marital satisfaction of the wives than the husbands.)

Interestingly, both husbands and wives thought that the husband was humorous more often. Regardless, married couples overwhelmingly say that humor has a positive impact on their establishing and maintaining their connection.

So far, TikTokers have been absolutely loving the fun little series
