My Close, Personal Portraits Of Cats And Dogs (Part 2)
41Kviews
A little over three months ago I shared the first part of this project here on Bored Panda, when I was really just doing it for fun. It picked up so much steam that I decided to dedicate myself full time to it.
Right now I’m working on getting the collection published into a book. These photos are all new, made in the last two months.

What is the mix on the first cat or is it a pure bred? I just find it interesting, I have never seen a cat look like that before.
I think it's an oriental shorthair :)
Yeah, it's an oriental shorthair - they came about by breeding Siameses and domestic shorthairs. If they have points like a Siamese, but the points are anything but seal, chocolate, blue, or lilac (or frost), then CFA considers them to be Colorpoint Shorthairs - a registerable breed. If they have the other cat's pattern but the Siamese body shape, then they're Oriental Shorthairs - also a registerable breed. The one in this series has his 3rd eyelid showing (by his nose) which could be because he doesn't feel good or just from genetics. IMHO, his ears are too big, his cheekbones a little too prominent - making his cheeks look sunken in, and his face is too narrow for his nose length. I don't know what gender he is, but I don't like to call cats or dogs "it"- it seems rude to me. :)
You can almost reach out and touch them... Beautiful portraits
Very nice :)))
