Lets just hope its salmon mousse
Salmon mousse would be a great idea for a kitty cake!
My Vet (It's a big animal hospital)lets owners order birthday cake for cats,(and Dogs) I haven't ask whats it made of.Cake for dogs are available every day,but we have to order cake for a cat beforehand.Maybe it's made from something like fish mousse.(I'm in Japan)That's how we spoil the cats...
I was thinking something like that...hope so
I wish there was a video of this!!
This seems to be a real cake... so bad for a cat... hope it's not!
I don't think it is? I've seen people (including myself) commission special cakes for my dog made of pet food. I'm pretty sure people made this trend for cats too!
The "icing" is actually unsweetened heavy whipping cream with a little food coloring. It's perfectly kitty safe since it's just milk. The "cake" underneath is non-existent lol it's just an upside down bowl ;)
Marine Moo, I've heard that, too, but it seems to be unfounded. I haven't found any studies to actually support the claim. In addition, we have a farm with dairy goats and everything on our farm drinks the goat milk. None of our cats have ever exhibited symptoms after drinking the milk.
Cats (most) can digest raw milk just fine. When it is pasteurized, homogenized is when it causes them digestive upsets.
I agree one of my cats most favorite treats is a little bit of milk. I also lived on a small farm and near dairy farms and all the cats knew when milking time was and I never saw a cat get Diarrhea from Milk.

Cats are intolerant to milk's lactose, which can give them stomach problems and diarrhea. So, no, it isn't safe if it has milk in it.
Cats actually don't have any gene to process the Sweetness caused from sugars, it is one of the few mammals out there that has that. But yes, if this is a real cake, its definitely not good for its teeth nor tummy. . But it is cute ! :D
