Bringing Halloween To Aberdeen

Northern Frights, an Aberdeen based company dream up terrifying events and attractions every Halloween that attract sell-out crowds.

Last year we were at the peak of their powers when a customer soiled themselves.

We were running a haunted house event at Haddo House, Aberdeenshire, when the mortified visitor had to be rushed out.

Someone ushered the guy past saying: ‘There’s been an accident – he’s done a number two.’ He was pure white.

Every night they run an event someone pees themselves but this was something new. We literally scared the crap out of someone.

It’s our proudest moment. The pressure is on us now to beat that. We want that to be happening every night.

Northern Frights come up with their own plot-lines and plans for spooky adventures and hire actors to jump out and scare the wits out of everyone.

The company values itself on making sure all actors are paid. There is not enough paid work for actors in Aberdeen and it was the whole reason for starting the business, after owners Liam and Laura volunteered for many years before.

The firm is returning to Haddo House this year but also starting at a new home, Innoflate the inflatable theme park in Aberdeen.

They’re running an event called Frightmare with the theme Last Train to Hell.

But despite the venue the scares will be happening in the old laser tag arena and not on bouncy castles.

We’re hoping it’s enough to get bowels moving again.
