Sister Was So Horrified By This Bride’s List Of Demands She Shared Them With The Internet

I don’t know what it is about weddings, but they can really bring out the worst in people. Yeah, we get it, it’s a big day for you. But what makes you think that your family and friends are willing to sacrifice huge amounts of time and money to meet your exacting demands?

Following on from this bizarre list of expectations, and this bride who expected guests to foot the bill for her ‘blow out’ wedding, we have a new queen of the bridezillas. Shared in the JUSTNOFAMILY subreddit by user Suicides_and_sundaes, this tale of her sister’s delusional entitlement is jaw-dropping in its audacity.

The bridezilla graciously opened up her bridal party to a ‘brawl,’ obviously anticipating a fight to the death for the ‘honor’ of being invited. Not only that but the rules for this brawl are astonishingly strict. She shared a list of demands to be met that even extends to a legally binding contract, guaranteeing that this greedy bride gets all the cash she wants out of everyone.

I don’t know about you, but if I received something like this from anyone I would swiftly tell them to stick it where the sun doesn’t shine. Weddings are supposed to be a celebration of love, a joyful gathering of the people nearest and dearest to you, not a competition or a cash cow to be milked. Scroll down to see this latest incarnation of the bridezilla from hell, and let us know what you think in the comments! (Facebook cover image: istockphoto / ViktorCap)

They haven't put any monetary value against that so perhaps people can throw a few coins at them really, really hard.

You also should consider the fact that most texters are of the "faster is better" mentality, and since adding the extra apostrophe may take switching to another view - and back - many may be inclined to just spell it wrong, knowing that the context will make their meaning obvious.

Bridesmaids go through this c**p without a written contract. It is very hard to say no when a friend asks you to be a bridesmaid and then it could be $2000+ to essentially be her friend. It's just not put out there ahead of time.

In my opinion all this Bridezilla stuff is yet one more misogynist stick to beat women with. First I don’t believe the stories are even true, but made up by sexist mischief makers. Secondly, they’re invented for a reason: to attack women for the things men can do more with no such consequences. Don’t they have extravagant stag dos in foreign countries where guests are expected to spend and go above and beyond? Don’t they ever write complaining emails to venues? Hire sports cars for the day? If it’s not bridezilla stories and series, it’s engagement ring greed, or ugly dress mockery. Ask yourself why it’s happening.

I see people that think this is fake..and it may be. But for those that say these women aren't possibly this greedy/ignorant/horrible...yes they are. I had a friend that was a wedding planner for several years. She got out of it because the brides were getting more and more demanding wanting weddings that cost millions while all the time bitching about how expensive everything was. Sometimes the planners had to collect fees and moneys up front because if they didn't, they'd never get paid. She'd had enough of spoiled brats and now plans events for charities, retirements and business functions. Much more rewarding and less whining involved.

This isn't the first time I saw something like this. Is this fake or are there people who are actually breathing and thinking like this? My best friend is about to get married next year and even though she's kind of immature and demanding, she (definitely!) wouldn't do something like this because she knows that this is ridiculous and she's going to receive 100 24-hour lectures from me not including her relatives. However, if she does, she's going to look for a new maid of honor.... People like this think highly of themselves and gosh it's disgusting.

Why are so many online viral shaming stories centred on women? Women getting secretly filmed with their babies apparently doing something wrong according to the guy with the camera; women drinking; women’s engagements, women’s weddings; women’s clothing; women’s bodies; women’s weight; women’s friendships; women’s selfies; women’s sex lives; women’s spending; women’s behaviour. While the camera and trolling is trained on women, it’s not trained somewhere else. And that strikes me as more than a coincidence.

This has got to be a joke/satire of the bridezillas out there.

Side note: Has Bored Panda become a summary of what's on reddit?

So if the honeymoon costs 10k and they are "charging" 500$ a guest, only 20ppl will be attending? Do they really have 20ppl that will actually attend with these ridiculous demands?

Is this for real. This sounds like a troll. I can't imagine anyone doing this unless they were mentally ill.

the thing is, she wants a $500+ gift so she can return it and get the cash. she is gonna be a nightmare when her hubby cant keep up the bank account, because if he cant afford what she wants now, then he damn sure wont down the road

If you can even cough up the $500, buy 500 crappy bootleg toys that cost $1. Technically she can't get mad because it meets the standards.

She makes it sooooooo easy to be busy with other things. Just imagine what she'll be like when she has a baby. Joy

If I were her friends I'd promise it all then when it came to signing the contract just never show up and f**k those demands. Lol

And this is why my kids dad and I are together but not married. Not that I would do anything like the above Demands, but he doesn't want to deal with the bs that is a wedding. He and I are happy to just be together enjoying each other and our kids. Forcing people to buy us stuff? Not a chance.

They should all place bets on how long the marriage is going to last and then whoever wins gives the money to them as their "wedding present"
