People Are Sharing Pics Of Boyfriends “Forced” To Take Perfect Pictures Of Their Girlfriends
Social media envy if you're among the 81% of young adults (18-24) that use Instagram daily you've definitely felt it. The constant stream of glossy perfectly posed candids of girls sitting among a field of flowers is enough to make anyone green, but how do they make such beautiful photos? The answer - a personal photographer.
Yes, Instagram influencers across the platform have been relying on their boyfriends' as their personal photographers to achieve the perfect Instagram photo. But once hidden behind a lense these men no longer live in the shadows, thanks to the Instagram and Facebook accounts “Boyfriends of Instagram." The pages post photos people have shared of Instagram boyfriends going to some pretty impressive lengths to photograph their girlfriends. From sitting on each other's shoulders to literally bending over backward, no shot is too much of a challenge. Created by two anonymous Australian men, the Instagram account has wracked up 137k followers. Scroll down below to see some of these hilarious photography poses and behind the scenes shots! Nothing is happening, humans have always being obsessed by their own image, cavemen used to depict their hands and successful hunts on their caves walls, we only have better tools now.

My husband is the one who gets into taking pictures. There might well be a picture on someone's phone complaining about how I'm making him do ridiculous things for my perfect picture, when in reality, I'm grudgingly posing for him to take his perfect picture!

So...I don't use Instagram. Is this a thing? All of these photos taken from behind like that?? Seems odd to not want a picture of your face in your vacation photos... Also, several of these are obviously professional photographers and not coerced boyfriends so let's all just put our judgey pants back in the drawer for a bit, shall we??

It's an odd obsession these days. People seem more interested in documenting their experiences than enjoying them. We used to call people like that, attention whores. Now, it seems to be the norm. If the government could figure out how to tax selfies they could fund all their pet projects. Selfies are the 21st-century version of vacation pictures. No one wants to see yours but everyone wants to show theirs.

Hey guys. Let's let people enjoy loving themselves? Society will not collapse because Brenda's boyfriend takes pics of her for her insta. It's very overdramatic to think so. Also, all these poses and methods are things professional photogs do. So if we're shaming these people for getting in crazy/dangerous poses for a silly photo, then the winners of nat geo contests have to be ridiculed as well.

People like these can be such a pain when you just want a quick tourist shot of a scene for your memories (yes, some of us still make up photo albums, though produced digitally now, not pasted into books). One place we waited while a woman had her partner take a pic, have her check it, take another pic, over and over again before we could get a shot. Another time, we wanted a pic of a waterfall and these two guys, one posing, one photographing, spent forever getting their shot while they stood right in ours. Apparently there are tourist spots in NZ now where people queue 40 mins so they can all take the same unoriginal shot. It's crazy - just go find something else nice to photograph and spare us the cliche.

I try to get photos without people in them (unless they are holding the dog in the distance) Thought of getting a selfie stick to shoot over their heads for a clear view

Are we sure that these are all boyfriends? I think professional Instagram models actually hire assistants/photographers for this sort of thing. I would never depend on my husband to take a photo of me, he takes terrible photos. When he pulls out his phone to get a pic of me I run away. This is also why there are only two photos of me from the ages 19-27. I didn't like the idea of selfies, but I realized when I have kids, they will never know what I use to look like.

A lot of us are scoffing about putting so much effort into taking these seemingly useless and narcissistic pictures and what these images say about society, but the true measure of society is really more in the fact that the resultant images are making these people money. I mean, I would put that kind of effort into my images if I was making money off of them, too. The sad thing isn't that they are taking the images - the sad thing is you can make a freaking living from those images. People are taking the time to look at that malarkey and others are paying the producer for all those views.

THAT! So true. That the "me, me, me, look at me" can get rich just by showing off is beyond comprehension. No skills, brains or talent needed. Just the need and want to expose yourself and your life to the world. No more mystery or secret garden...so sad.

Narcissism is of all times....even those who are obsessively against the this phenomenon most likely are so that they can feel better about themselves. still...went to a famous beach town in France this year and the whole "selfie-insta-omg look at ME" thing was e-ve-ry-where. The first week i could laugh about it, but the second week it really started to get on my nerves. Form over content at its most blatant.

Each and every one of these guys needs to run like hell. Women who obsess over the perfect picture care more about their looks than anything else. You do not want to be around this woman to experience all the drama when her looks starts to fade and she thinks you'l leave her for someone "prettier."
