Medium size? Only in the US would she be considered medium size! In Canada and Europe, she is definitively considered big size. If being too thin is unhealthy, so is obesity!

I seriously do not understand how people keep glorifying this. I mean, I know losing weight is not easy, it's very hard, but its all about changing your lifestyle. Instead of saying this is a "healthy" start making better food choices and go workout at least 3 times a week. I have done it, so have many many people. I agree body-shaming is bad too, but don't say this is Healthy please...

My sister-in-law died as a result of obesity. That's what her two medical specialists told us. Being fat should not be applauded. It is a scientific fact that obesity leads to poor health.

Does everyone think that everyone who is obese is so because of their lack of diet and exercise? That’s a stigma I would really like to break wide open. So many people have weight issues due to thyroid, adrenal fatigue and other major illnesses. I was petite and in shape when I suddenly found myself really sick. My weight shot up 100 pounds+ within months and doctors were racing to fix the issue. 10 years later, I cannot lose the weight no matter what I do. It sickens me how much people judge. And I don’t think this is about promoting obesity. My daughter won’t see this article and decide she wants to gain a lot of weight. I believe it’s showing a body type that’s underrepresented. Some of the photos above are sexy due to the confidence alone. And that’s what I want to show my child. Confidence is beautiful. Sorry. End of rant. This really struck a nerve with me...

You'll never find greater self-righteous a-holes than in the comment section of any article about a woman who isn't a size two.

If "fat acceptance" promoters can demand to be accepted as models and sex symbols "with the body they have" because "all bodies are beautiful", I demand to be accepted as a millionaire "with the money I have" because "all bank accounts are rich".

Yah. Whatevs. I work my butt off to be within proper doc recommendation BMI as I'm over 40. Take care of your young self, and your old self will thank you. And, don't elect to surgically enhance your body out of media-driven vanity.

Okay to everyone in the comments you have seriously got to stop they are not trying to promote anything and to those who are so brainless You can still be healthy and be her size look it up Experts agree that you can live in a larger body and still be fit and healthy, but that does not mean weight plays zero role in the complex story of certain conditions. And there is also called having thyroid issues and sometimes losing weight is just hard to do because of having low metabalism. Maybe instead of judgemental jerks you should just see how absolutely beautiful that woman is and is actually okay with who she is. Maybe you don't like it because you just do not like yourself or the thought that plus sized girls are actually coming out and being comfy rather than hiding away ashamed of who they are.

By the same logic as "fat acceptance", if we just tell BIGOTED and UNCARING society that the stage of one's cancer is "just a number" and you are "healthy at any cancer stage", "cancer acceptance" could save tons of money on healthcare.
