What Do We Run For: Our Project To Show Relationship Between Us And Nature

Photographer Adam Alexander Johansson (Sweden) and I (Vilija Vitkute, Lithuania) came up with the idea to do an art project “What do you run for” by using body painting and photography. We took a 10 days road trip to Arizona and California were we discovered nature, urban places in different perspective.

We took ourselves to emotional landscapes were the feeling of being there heels you up, makes to feel you like home, you get to see Earth in a perfect balance. We want to bring you to the beginning of human story, where it all started and help to realize important things about relationship with nature and our actions towards it. It seems that we are running out of our planet’s resources and we have less and less of time to think about it.

We hope that you can stop for a moment and think about what do you run for in your life. After all, we hope you can get away from your busy life routines.
