Aria, I'm with you. I remember the Reagan-era "war on drugs" that led to arrests and didn't actually stop drug addiction. The in-school gun violence that in the 1980s wasn't addressed b/c it was "inner cites tehrefore nonwhites who cares". The white rural and blue-collar Americans whose cities went to hell as their financial bases were relocated overseas.... All the stuff nobody in the GOP got angry about till it hit white suburban white-collar America, and it's a sham. I read the transcript of the Johnstown PA rally speech by POTUS Trump. I'm talking about cities, where most black populations reside en masse. Dense population centers skew state numbers downward, and almost all dense population centers are run by Democrats. And Republicans have a looong way to go to meet their obligations to their constituents as well. Its my opinion that the Republicans are at least trying, as they appear to have recieved the message the Tea Party was sending. Before the Tea Party the Republicans were disinterested in the average American and in keeping them employed.

Truthmonster, next time back up your evidence and let's see what THE REPUBLICANS did for the Blacks.

@Truth Monster, I have spent most of my life in two of the cities that Trump disparages. Of course, they have problems, and some neighborhoods have extremely serious problems. No one is denying that. However, most African Americans in this country are not suffering the way you’re describing. Most aren’t depending on welfare or living in roach-infested projects. They are suffering from generations of LEGAL barriers to good education, homeownership and wealth accumulation; a judicial system designed to punish people of color more harshly than their white counterparts for similar crimes and to bring perpetrators of crimes against people of color to justice less often; inadequate health care access; and the still-frequent assumption that they reached their positions thanks to their skin color rather than their abilities. THAT is how the black community as a whole is suffering, and THAT cannot be attributed to any single political party.

MAGAsaurus, ha! Now I’m confused though because MAGAts usually say “Democrat Party” instead of “Democratic.” It’s like a shibboleth to identify who gets their news from Fox and Rush.

Some of the MAGAsaurus is truth, Curry. Our cities are flaming disasters and in some cases literally. The educational disparity between black students, who are predominantly in cities, and their white peers is such that colleges have put a SAT points handicap on white and Asian students or black students wouldn't be admitted on points alone. How does that happen? Why has the Democratic Party done nothing?
