When I first saw the Birth of Venus, I was a kid. Back then, we had not much talk about pollution, extinction, climate change, and climate disasters.

A couple of months ago I was thinking how could I make a modern interpretation of old masters art, and I wanted to create a modern, fashion-like version of the birth of Venus. But as I started to draw my concept sketches, I realized, the modern Venus would found herself on a dirty, plastic waste covered beach, wrapped in a plastic bag.

My beautiful model was Gloria Elizabeth Bognar, and the makeup artist was Brigitta Vanyoczky (Bridget Lash and Makeup). My assistant, and hairdresser, hair-poser was my lovely wife, Gyongyi.
