Hello, my name is Charlie, and I'm fat. I developed type 2 diabetes in my thirties due to my poor health and eating habits. I wanted to talk openly about my struggles, and since laughter is the best medicine, I started a semi-autobiographical webcomic titled Big Fat Charlie.

Working on this comic has been therapeutic and has helped me cope with my struggles. I've been contacted by more than one person who's said that they find my comic entirely relatable. Thank you for reading. Please enjoy.

BTDT: Yep, used to think leashes on kids were terrible. Yep, then I had a VERY strong willed child. Nope, don't think they are horrible anymore. Judgy people often don't realize there are kids with various disabilities that cannot help themselves from running away.

I still remember getting lost in a crowd, would have happily worn a leash. I was scared of going anywhere for years.

Sorry, but... not that you would be able to run after a hyperactive kid. Do not judge anyone else who don't want to lose a child.

My son was a VERY busy boy. I started using these for him when I would go for a walk or to the mall or whatever. I would toe it to his little sisters stroller and that way he was safe, had a little bit of freedom, got some exercise, and I had my hands free to do whatever I need to do. You wouldn't believe how many people made rude rude rude comments to me about it but you know like I said my kid was steak versus call the kids run around and tear things off the racks excetera and their parents are like "I can't keep track of him"

As a person who chose a different path, I'd never judge a parent for putting their child on a harness or whatever. I judge the a******s who don't pay enough attention as their kid wanders and destroys whatever is around them as long as the parent isn't bothered. Besides this mom is probably like why is this sick stranger with no pants on talking to her kid.

My mother used a leash for me as well. Don't remember any of it, but I ran around like a maniac and my parents have lost me several times. + there was a real risk to be run over by a car, because of reckless crossing of roads. The leash was completely justified.

Strange how over here no one uses leashes and no one gets ran over.

So I thought these comics were about the struggle of a big man? This one seems funny at first but has nothing to do with his struggles, he is literally judging people like they are probably judging him for his weight?

Yeah, the article title doesn't really suit the actual content of the comics.

Total hoax and already debunked in 2016 by the International Agency for Research on Cancer: There's no conclusive evidence for a carcinogenic effect of drinking coffee.
