Bianca studied Architecture and Design and during her studies, she fell totally in love with Dutch design, especially the “fun” stuff. She started making gifts for her family and friends and in 2009 she decided to share her works with a wider audience and thus the brand, blanc, was born.
Inspiration for her products comes in various different moments; when driving a car, taking a train and mostly, the moments just before she falls asleep. That’s how she invented her animal bookmarks. She wanted to create something playful, spatial and with a more humorous edge than a simple paper bookmark. She really enjoys her work and as she says, “the main aim of my products is to raise a smile”. We think she’s definitely achieved her goal there!
