35 Incredible Transformations That Show How Ordinary People Can Dramatically Improve Their Looks
We transform every day. Slowly. The ones who walk into stylist Konstantin Bogomolov's studio, however, undergo such rapid makeovers, it's hard to believe they're the same people.
These before and after pics are just as impressive as the ones we've featured in our earlier post about Konstantin and his students. Together, they invite all kinds of people to become their models, and accept everyone from students to seniors. They craft each look for the particular person they're working on and the results are nothing short of amazing. Scroll down to check 'em out!

Have you notice that they always took off your glasses of to make you look ,,better"? Hm, I can't live a normal life without my glasses. Does it mean I'm constantly ugly? Well, that's what I heard 15 years ago when I was in primary school. Come on, guys! It's XXI century!
Too right! Glasses do not alter if someone is attractive or not. Some people actually look really good in glasses and a bit plain or somehow too ordinary without them. A girl I went to school with wore glasses that made her eyes look bigger and as she had beautiful eyes she looked stunning. It's daft.
Load More Replies...Give her back her glasses! Some of us can’t wear contacts and must wear glasses.
IMO: Left clothes, with right side hair cut. No need for the satin and bare chest.
LOL ~ it shows that she has a corporate side as well.
Load More Replies...This is stupid, the whole ‘she’s prettier without glasses!’ People with glasses can still be beautiful, and you shouldn’t have to put literal pieces of glass i your eye to fit society’s standards of beauty. That being said, she looks nice and her wardrobe has definitely improved.
would like to see glasses in "after" pics, not everyone wears contacts
Lyudmila And Tamara, 65, Twin Sisters, Dentists
A friend recently commented that when a woman is of a certain age she becomes invisible, well not when one looks like the 'afters' in these photos.
So true, Amanda (I'm 61 myself). But age is only a number. Self confidence makes such a difference. It shows in these sisters.
Load More Replies...These two are the best transformation out off all of them . Sullen to Sexyyy
Svitlana, 37, University Teacher
Agreed!! They seem to be more open, and brighter!!
Load More Replies...She looks like an assassin in a Bond movie in the after pic. Awesome!
Mairita, 36, Operator
It annoys me when the "transformation" = "get rid of the glasses" as part of it. Lots of people look really good in glasses IMHO
Yes but not in this case since they make her eyes look smaller.
Load More Replies...I'm not keen about taking away their glasses - they're still going to wear them post makeover. That said, glasses can absolutely make a look, if they're chosen carefully. ...///... This was a VERY clever hair stylist, too. Center parts look foolish on grown women - it's too little kid for the work world. For people with fine hair, changing your part so that it's the opposite of your natural part makes your hair look thicker.
Funny how the before pic, with glasses. The after which is " the better one" no glasses. Apparently vision doesn't matter with the right haircut. Or they gave her contacts, which of course, every rom com tells us is necessary.
Only because they aren't ridiculously thick - they've just defined them. The ultra thick crayoned on ones look appalling.
Load More Replies...I would like to have seen this but including her glasses. Contacts are expensive.
I think too many of us do not dress professionally. Even if it is not customer facing. She looks fantastic!
Nikolay, 31, Freelance Designer
Okay wow, this guy looks good with the new haircut. EDIT: He did look good before too though
Disagree. The boots on the right are positively ridiculous. Everything about the pic on the right screams "I read the latest magazine and bought what I was told to buy. Did I do it right? Am I cool now?". It's a case of trying too hard.
always shave that neck, that alone will just elevate your face like crazy. If I have no time for anything, I always make sure to at least put a little product in my hair to slick it back and up and to the side to give it some lift, and make sure my neck is clean so it looks like I have a head, jaw, neck space. He looks good. I love those boots as well.
He' a good loking man, he looks great either way but I actually prefered the Before... but then I also really like men with long hair and scruffy stubble. But then again, my opinion doesn't matter. Main thing is that he is happy with his make- over, and he should be cause it was a good one. Still looks like him and like it's actually comfortable and wearable
He looks really nice. I will be glad when the torn jeans look is out of the fashion picture.
He got the fuzz off his neck and it’s a big difference. You know, in the 60’s & 70’s some guys would try hard to ‘get the fuzz off their neck’ and still grow hair all over the place.
He looks wonderful and cleaning up the beard and shaping it makes a world of difference.
Jolanta, 39, Postal Operator
I really love the new look, looks beautiful and confortable, and her hair is amazing.
This, and the freelance designer one makes me realize how much I like the effect of the high collar. It's just an insta-banger effect in my opinion.
Brigita, 36, Housewife
cutting the hair to a manageable length and styling it makes a huge difference
Learning how to do hair and make-up is really hard though
Load More Replies...Brigita's new image is so feminine and sweet, it looks like her more sophisticated twin sister.
I've upvoted every single one so far. Have you lot too ? Amazing transformations.
Alina, 48, Operator
I'll say, the heterochromia is so very striking.
Load More Replies...Wow! She has such unique eyes. 2 colors. I wonder what color is on her drivers license.
Yuliya, 41, Accountant
Her before clothes look like she's ready to raid some tombs. All she needs are big handguns. (Btw, I find that cool too, I'm not making fun of her here)
Load More Replies...How did they even get her out of the black? I don’t think she’s comfortable in the new clothes but the new hairstyle fits her well
I hate to say it, but it looks like she trimmed her own bangs. The side swept fringe is much more flattering.
Load More Replies...Her new haircut looks a lot like mine, so I'm definitely stealing the earring idea.
She looks so much more professional...the change in her hair style is amazing.
Really it's all in the hair cut. A little make up doesn't hurt, but the hair is the difference in a lot of these.
I don't know about that - the make up is probably made to look as light as possible while being heavier than most would want to wear daily. Some hairstyles look like they'd be an effort to do everytday.
Load More Replies...Ilona, 47, School Teacher
Me too. Now I’m going on Zulily.com and getting this outfit!!!
Load More Replies...That is just fantastic! Look how much that affected her. She is confident, classy, and ready to kill it. LOVE the hair!
The hair takes 10 years off her face, just lifts the eye up. And she SLAYS!
Elvira, 36, Housewife
Absolutely! I love how the "afters" don't look like glamour shots, but like a realistic, albeit enhanced, version of the person.
Load More Replies...They put everyone in contacts. If you've ever seen a makeover show, that's what they always do. Apparently glasses aren't stylish or some such c**p. Personally, I would never stick ANYTHING into my eyes deliberately {shudder}, so I'll go to my grave still wearing glasses!
Load More Replies...Inga, 50, Doctor
The hair style looks high maintenance, but it's very cute.
Load More Replies...Galina, 68, Nuclear Physicist
Yea, I think leather is a strange choice for someone her age. (I'm not saying that as we age we can't look fabulous) It looks like she stepped out of Grease or Happy Days.
Load More Replies...Natalia, 41, Housewife
I think she looks older with those clothes - the scarf anyway. The portrait shot looks really airbrushed / fake.
Load More Replies...They all look so great. I just hate the way that in their previous photo, they were told to slouch and in the new one, to 'model' their new look. Sort of unreal.
Can nobody actually dress hair without cutting it any more? Always with the hacking the length off. Setting up a previously unrequired necessity to return to hair salon and pay to maintain the new style
Actually, for me it's mainly the new hairstyle that makes a huge difference between these two pictures (like, all of them). And most women look better in shorter hair, in my opinion, because far too often their long hair is just an unhealthy and thin-looking plain mess. Sorry, I'm one of these women as well - I really crave for having long hair, but I cannot afford anything longer than over the collarbone, then it just looks like rats' tails. And, I've realised that visiting a good hairdresser is sort of necessity (I don't go very often, mind), because it makes you really a new person if they are any good.
Load More Replies...the blue dress would have looked way nice with diffrent color jacket and shoes! Its so pretty!
I like the jacket and the dress. But they don't seem to go together.
Load More Replies...Don't like this one.Loved her hair more as it was before...maybe putting it up then.
Anna, 34, Manager
I think you are seeing the second look as older when it's actually more sophisticated.
Load More Replies...But they covered all her freckles! A sprinkling of freckles across the nose is adorable, IMHO. I wish I knew what makeup artists have against them!
Daria, 35, Marketing Director
I honnestly like her more before...On the after she looks arrogant, strict, severe...
Load More Replies...Yes!! Finally not assuming glasses somehow make people look less attractive.
Load More Replies...So here's living proof that pencil skirts are the LEAST flattering cut for a woman with a curvy figure. All she had to do was put on a simple (and easier to wear) A line and it took 25 pounds off.
At last! A "makeover" that recognises glasses aren't just a "choice" for so many of us.
Elena, 52, Accountant
Well.. in my case... I would have to fire myself.
Load More Replies...Irina, 42, Interior Designer
Yeah, definitely feels a lot more like an interior designer. Modern and chic
Load More Replies...Very smart changes made. Her updated look is so much more interesting, stylish, eye-catching. You know, just the sort of thing an Interior Designer tries to do for their clients.
She still has fringe. If you look closely, they are kind of tucked under the hair on her left side.
Load More Replies...Another proof how long hair can make you look older and just dragging the whole face down. She looks fabulous!
Zhanar, 40, Event Agency Director
That fringe changes her completely ! She looks so much better !
Loreta, 55, Bioenergetics Consultant
The new look compliments her body frame much better to ascentuate her body the way it should be
The make over confirms and increases her professional competency. Here's a woman who could rule the world.
Irena, 65, Retired
I legit read "Irena, 65, Villain" and I thought "this is the oddest villain outfit I've ever seen... :/"
What's a Vilnius? I'll look it up later, just wonder if anyone here knows?
It is unfortunate when so many beautiful women shy away from bright colors. Irena literally blooms in those jeweled tones.
Pavel, 30, Photographer
Yeah, definitely didn't need the hipster wardrobe change.
Load More Replies...And he will NEVER look like that again. That look is a step to far from what he'll be used to
I'm too short, so I can't get away with ankle cut pants because they look way awkward on me, but they look fine on him. I love that bag though... I'm all for a guy having a bag to carry s**t around. It's actually bad for your pockets to carry all your things around in them plus, it's limiting in space.
Just wait until he's loaded down with all his equipment.
Load More Replies...Tatyana, 46, Manager
She already looked good, the makeup makes it better but yeah she would still look good without :P
The haircut and color adds a lot of style and takes of years, I think.
Load More Replies...The "before" cardigan-thing didn't do her any favors... but otherwise she looks good in both photos!
She looks no older than 25 in the after! Amazing change. I don't know who's doing their makeup, but they're VERY talented, that's for sure!
Jūratė, 42, Florist
I disagree, I think sometimes we perceive a polished look as being more mature.
Load More Replies...The after haircut is a violation. They gave her the “let me speak to your manager”
The beauties of her soul shine through the first picture. The second one seems to miss them.
The color change of her hair is stunning. That the make up make her look very professional.
Elena, 40, Youth Center Employee
This is a really good example of how people with thin hair look better with it in neat, short styles.
Yes, length usually emphasises thin hair. The fringe works well though I'm not 100% sure I'd have wanted to take quite so much out of the body of the hair in a separate type of fringe rather than using it to sweep around the face. Just an preference on my part though - she looks good.
Load More Replies...Yeah well, thin hairs are quite annoying. People always say: cute it short! Well, no, it doesn't always work. With my long hairs I look 5 years younger than I am. If I cut them short: I look easily 5 to 8 years older...
Tatyana, 53, Pensioner
She looks like she'd take your head off in the first one.
Load More Replies...Feels like she didn't think she still had it, but she does!
Load More Replies...I read it that way too. Looking at the before pic, I thought she looked like a prison warden
Load More Replies...She would look younger if they had gone for a lighter shade with her hair.
Yes. The expert advice is always go for a colour that is one shade lighter. I don't think that means you can't go several colours lighter or go for blue if it would suit but this is too dark and helmet like.
Load More Replies...For an accurate comparison, they should have the same expression and stand in the same position in both pics.
She looks classier in the after picture but the smile is worth millions!
Vilma, 50, Manager
I feel like Vilma looked pretty great to begin with. And it's hard for me to imagine that she feels comfortable with the new look...but I'm just guessing from the pictures, I'm no mindreader.
Well, assuming these people were not forced against their will to do this, they probably had an idea as to what they were in for! Her smile says different, she looks HOT and she knows it
Load More Replies...She's an attractive woman, and in the after, she's quite beautiful. Her skin is brighter, she has more eyelashes and her lovely eyes show more. All in all a great makeover.
Her eyes really stand out in both pics. Are they gray or blue?
Load More Replies...Vilma looks a bit like Jane Seymore and like she will get every man to stand up and offer her a chair!
I so dislike the heavy hair in front of the ears they always try and foist on to middle aged women.
Natalia, 38, School Teacher
And here we go, more plaid pants... Other than that, not bad a job they've done.
No, just too deep for her skintone, so she is washed out. She’s not a winter and they did a very goid job picking colors for her
Load More Replies...What's with all the ugly check pants! Put her in a nice pair of jeans, not those ugly plaid pants!! She's so pretty, have her in some current style jeans. They all don't have to have holes in them..
Daiva, 38, Financial Consultant
Come on, they ,ust have captured the “before” picture on a bad-hair day. No one goes out like that.
Asel, 33, Housewife
The new outfit is cool, but the make-up ages her about a decade. Nude lips or less eye make-up with the reds lips would be much better.
I love the new hair but I agree, the makeup is a bit much and ages her quite a bit
Load More Replies...Agreeing with both you guys clothing is great. But the make-up ages her.
New outfit? On point. Hair and makeup? Added on no less than 10 years to her look.
She’s naturally pretty but I think the harsh lipstick makes her look older somehow. It might be too matte. A little gloss might make it appear more youthful.
Jolanta, 53, Entrepreneur
She has lovely lips which can carry a bolder colour as well.
Load More Replies...Perfect wardrobe change for her. It will probably make her feel more confident in meeting new people, showing what she can offer with her entreprenueral skills.
blood red or deep wine red would pull out your blue eyes more I know because I have blue eyes
Oh my. The before outfit just hurts to look at. The after is a very different person.
Larisa, 58, Entrepreneur
The "after" outfit is a terrible jumble and just loses her figure altogether. I find it rather clownish.
I agree with you. I don’t like the clothing on the “before”-picture either, but there are so many possibilities in between both outfits.
Load More Replies...The hair is a very nice look on her. Not a fan of the feathery thing but she looks good.
Her make-up is similar in both, just goes to show how much a quality haircut changes everything.
I really like the makeup but I really don't like the clothes they picked for her! She looks like a 60's hippie! Just saying...IMO!!
Mikhail, 48, Actor
Because leather is fun and makes every outfit better!
Load More Replies...This guy would look great in a plain white slim cut T, some distressed jeans, & a well loved pair of nice leather loafers.Just give him the new hairstyle & a different shape of glasses.... The leather/plastic get up is overkill & it makes it look like he's trying to hard.
Too much leather and too young of a look. Looks like he's going through a mid life crisis. He would look incredible in a modern, bespoke suit.
I actually like his before outfit better. The leather is really cheesy on him. Can't stand it!
Mila, 54, Entrepreneur
Does anyone else look at the after and see Lucy Wilde from the Minions movies? Even the outfit looks like something Lucy would wear... Despicable...b00e1f.jpg
Honoring her long vertical line was the key as well as using a great foundation.
Natalia, 38, Schoolteacher
These ladies all look marvellous after their makeovers, but where are the ladies of somewhat splendid proportions (such as myself)?
Research has shown that teachers who wear their right colors are more effective. I'm sure that these makeovers make kids "sit up and take notice."
These are great and all but where are all the curvy girls? Also GTFOH with those plaid pants
These men and women do look better. Bear in mind however, the makeup is not doing as much as it looks like. These photos have been photoshopped. No one has that smooth a complexion. I also noticed false eyelashes. Maybe these women will keep applying them. I do hope they keep up the hair, the makeup, and the clothes. They do look amazing.
Some men and women have a natural knack to dress right. Some of us need outside help like these in this article.
Load More Replies...The shorter, curly hair makes her neck look longer and seems to pull her entire body up vertically. And it has the effect of lighten her face. A beautiful change!
Moral of the story? Get yourself a haircut that suits your hair type and facial shape?
Wait what? So you mean a new hair style, fresh make up and new clothes will improve your appearance? Who would have thought it?
It's not just a “new“ hairstyle, it's always one that compliments people's shape of face. It's not easy to find the right one.
Load More Replies...This highlights the importance of well fitted clothing. It doesn't have to be designer: it must fit your shape properly, hide figure flaws, and emphasize assets.
This is relevant to the 10-year challenge post where people commented under celebrities' pictures like "they just don't age!" and the point is that they have access to a hair dresser and makeup artist and dermatologist and dietitian etc whenever they want and that's why they look young
Nope. All you need is a decent hair cut, clothes that actually fit (does NOT have to be expensive) and drug store makeup that you can do in under 15 minutes.
Load More Replies...Why is it always cutting the hair short? Show a professional long haircut.
I mean, they all look better, but when you take people in their casual clothes, with no or little makeup, give them a new haircut, do throw some makeup on them and put them in new, fancy and hip clothes, who wouldn't look better? Not exactly something we didn't all knew before, right?
I think the " before" is more natural beautiful then the puppet " after". All girls and young women looks the same. Not unique and as usual is the Trend
Haircut, ditch the specs, add plaid pants and get some accessories?
