A major change in look is often times referred to as a makeover. Makeovers don't always refer to makeup when the term is used to indicate a change in a person's look. It can also mean a change in clothing, a new haircut, or even plastic surgery in some cases. In fact, a makeover can be anything you wish to change in your appearance (even the smallest of things) because we all need that little bit of self-care at times, and let's be honest, a little boost of confidence can't hurt you.

That is why the Belarusian hair stylist and TV host Yevgeny Zhuk specializes in giving full transformations to those who might need it a little bit more than others. Having opened his own salon in Moscow, Russia, Yevgeny does his best to turn his clients into a more confident version of themselves.

And in case you'd like to see more of the transformations done by the talented Yevgeny, don't worry, you can find parts 1, and 2 by clicking here, and here.

Maybe if she was wearing makeup and jewelries like the second frame, we would see the difference the hairstyle made.

Research has shown that a positive physical appearance is a quick, efficient way to increase self-confidence and also get rid of anxiety for most people. "You feel more relaxed, confident, capable, cooperative, and productive when you look presentable, authentically you, and appropriate for the situation," Says Judith Rasband, a President of Conselle Institute of Image Management.

Judy is a firm believer that your clothing and grooming habits often affect the way we think about ourselves. In her short book called "Power of personal appearance" Judy wrote, "You can’t afford to think negatively about yourself due to some aspect of your appearance. When you appear authentic, attractive, and appropriate, you think more positively about yourself, your situation, and others."

They're all absolutely gorgeous to begin with, just no make up or hair that's all.

"You must be aware of the impact of your appearance as it speaks to you first before it communicates to others. If you want to succeed as an individual in today's extremely complicated and competitive culture. Both how you feel about yourself and how others perceive you are influenced by what you wear and how you appear." States Rasband, the author of the book.

Wait ... the thread is about hair but all these lovely people here have had a professional make over WITH make-up. It's not only "hair". But they do look very lovely tho.

I think having your teeth fixed always makes a change in your appearance and I've no doubt, the after photo here, must have given her so much confidence.

When asked for advice, Judy wrote, "Think in terms of dressing authentically for you as an individual—for your personality, values, attitudes, and interests. Think in terms of dressing appropriately for the group, the occasion, and the purpose at hand. Think in terms of dressing attractively for your physical body. The same advice applies to your grooming."

Bad skin vs makeup and lightning. Note: acne is natural, but it's advisable to minimize makeup on bad skin. The lady's pores must be clogged from the amount of makeup needed to conceal her acne. Correct me if I'm wrong (I don't wear makeup so I don't know a lot about it).

Nope. Those curls are precious. Should have been highlighted and not straightened. But if that's what she wanted, then good for her.

What's up with the toothpaste white teeth? A fake front? Photoshop? You can see the lower teeth, they have not improved at all.

Her face shape is 100% different. In original she has a large rounded jaw. In after she has a pointy jaw? So "people look better after, hair, make up, surgery and dental" is more fitting

The hair in the after pic does not look like anything straight out of a hairdressers. It looks like normal everyday hair. I would be confused if not furious if I came out with hair like that.

I don't think the hair was her problem at all I think it's the tattoos that kind of make her neck looks slender and make her head look like a bobblehead

IDK, I kinda like that she shows more personality/attitude in the before. Not a fan of dreads, but I'm not wearing them.🤭

Dreads are so hard to maintain, though. Maybe she was just finished with them. 🤷

As another person with dreads, I think she looked much better with hers; not to mention how long it would have taken to grow them that long- and they were maintained nicely! I only hope the (in my opinion) far too short, extremely commonplace haircut was her choice.

It's amazing what putting a shirt all the way up to head and cover all those tattoos it makes her head look like a bobblehead. Can you cover up the tattoos you don't make her head look like a bobblehead anymore

The before image strongly reminds me of a street or homeless person.
