People love things that nostalgically remind them of their childhood: a clutch designer Lulu Guinness had this figured out, and turned a toy from the 80’s into a giant interactive installation. For the Clerkenwell Design Week 2011 in London she created a 2-meter high pin screen of 6000 capped pins, where people could make their own portraits.

The massive pin screen was situated in front of the St John’s Gate, and was even turned into a photo contest. Visitors were invited to take crazy pictures behind the screen and upload them in order to win one of Lulu’s clutches. Even without a prize, feels like one could spend hours goofing around with the screen and a camera!
