People were convinced that deregulation and no oversight would lead to lower prices for consumers since businesses would have to compete with each other and that would be regulation enough. They forgot to mention competition meant someone wins and someone loses, and eventually the winner wouldn't have to worry about competition and could write their own prices.

Yay! Numbers to crunch! For reference: 2000 US 1.00 = 2026 US 1.95 (195%). Among these six items, the average price rise is 229% with only the 20 PC McNuggets increasing less than that at 216%. The average rise is skewed upwards by the huge increases in the Cheeseburger (358%) and the McChicken (379%).

As i see most of us live a shïttÿ life in that decade, but at least i do my best to keep the good memories, preserve the lessons i learn over the scars i wore because of the hurts i get. and i apply that to that time to this time, and i hope keep doing it.
