Babysitter Reveals Why She Never Accepts Children Who Are Asleep, And Every Babysitter Should Read It
According to a recent survey, 74% of parents in USA hire a babysitter at least once a month. The great majority of them pick the babysitter for their children very carefully – it is only natural that parents worry before letting someone else take care of their child. But sometimes it’s not the parents who worry, but rather the babysitters themselves as some parents, according to one babysitter, are hard to trust.
Internet user Twatermellon shared a story of one former daycare employee who had one strict policy that the babysitters had to adhere to and explained the reason behind it. Scroll down to see what this babysitter had to tell. (Facebook cover image: Mad Ball)

I have to admit this hadn't really occurred to me: when I saw the headline I thought it would be because a child waking up in different surroundings with different people from when they went to sleep might panic.
That's good to know but ... Damn it world, what the hell is wrong with you?!!
My thoughts exactly. It's just really sad and alarming that this even needs to be a tip for sitters and daycare workers.
Load More Replies...Giving sedatives to children, especially babies, needs to be prosecuted with utter strictness.
To me this should be a serious criminal offence as well. As for Vonskippy, this isn't about panicking over every "little" thing , it's about a serious crime being committed, and protecting our most vulnerable citizens from such a monsterous act. Stop being such a jerk.
Load More Replies...I actually know someone who runs a home daycare that had a very bad experience because of this. Parents dropped off sleeping child in the morning, after 2 hours child did not wake up and could not be woken up, she called 911. Hospital determined that the child had been forcefully struck in the head, hours earlier, baby died 2 days later on life support. It came out at the trial that the parents dropped child off at babysitter, so that when the problem was discovered, babysitter would be blamed. Fortunately, doctors were able to determine that injury occurred hours before the child was dropped off. These particular parents had been in trouble with the authorities before for harming a child, although that child survived, he was disabled for the rest of his life and relegated to the foster system permanently until he was adopted. I do wonder about our system that these parents weren't more closely monitored after injuring one child previously so badly.
Could you imagine being the parent that finds out your own mother has been drugging your child when she was babysitting.
aint it a sad world we live in when people have to anticipate this level of shittery.
OMG! Ok, I don't like kids, so I made sure I never had any. And I don't know how kids act, unless they are screaming crying brats in the store. But I THOUGHT you were going to say that if a baby/kid is asleep, not to take them, because when they DO wake up in the day care center, they might really freak out, not knowing where in the H they are, Mom and Dad are not there, and they'd really start crying. I didn't even think the reason had to do with abuse. How sad! People who do this should be strung up and shot in a town's square! Yeah, maybe I seem harsh, and I dislike kids a LOT, but I sure would NEVER hurt one, and hearing that child abuse in all these forms really pisses me off!! I'll get off my soapbox now, thanks for listening to me rant! I just had to get that out!
What the actual ffffff. Here in my naive mind i was thinking it was because the child would be upset waking with strangers somewhere else. How horrid can someone be to drug their own grandchild/child!?!? That seriously makes me so freaking angry!
