The use of composition and color is important and often explosive in the art exhibit, ‘An Awakening In Expression’. The Pomona Cultural Center presents four contemporary artists working with varied media in innovative and authentic ways. The exhibition includes a wide spectrum of works including paintings, ink drawings, and sculpture.
Through the culmination of harmonizing the works of these accomplished artists, director and curator, Tjok Gde Arsa Artha (‘Gde’) has produced another exceptional show. His long respected art exhibits grow from a desire to share the insights and creations of diverse artists with the public. Gde places the exhibiting artists in the limelight, while he works behind the scenes to develop the way we view, understand, and appreciate art.
‘An Awakening In Expression’ featured artists are Lisa D’Amico, Ada Pilar Cruz, Charlotte Mouquin (posthumous), and Kat Sayegh. Lisa D’Amico is a multi-media, two-dimensional artist who translates moments in life and provokes emotions through her artwork. Ada Pilar Cruz is a sculptor working in clay, creating powerful and memorable human forms. Charlotte Mouquin’s artwork strikes a balance in the chaotic life forces that surround human nature. Kat Sayegh is an abstract artist whose work is driven by the deep feelings that only the subconscious can reach.
‘An Awakening In Expression’ art exhibition will run from September 17th – November 5th at the Pomona Cultural Center, 584 Route 306, Pomona, New York. The gallery hours are Friday – Sunday from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm with a reception on Sunday, October 1st from 4pm – 7pm.
