Black and white is abstract.
When I shoot a photo I already know if the final image will be black and white or colour.
As a painter I use colours. But I always mix warm and cold colours in a unique way. I prefer to paint on a black canvas. High contrast, speaks loudly.
If I can speak for myself, I’m a black and white personality. I see more in black and white.
Looking at a black and white photograph, you are looking different, it has feelings, depth, a strange world. Black and white can transform a scene, a place, people, a moment.
These 21 photos have been taken in the centre of Athens, with a NikonD60, during lockdown. You can feel the loneliness, the emptiness, the uncertainty of the day after.
