29 Heartbreaking, Yet Moving Pieces Made By Artists All Over The World After The Russian Invasion Of Ukraine
We live in anxious and heartbreaking times, where things we eagerly believed were finally behind us suddenly come true. Despite our innocent and sometimes even naive beliefs, enraged and cruel men have frankly chosen to decide our future for us. It seemed like our world was on the right track to finally becoming better; things have changed dramatically for the past few decades, as we've become more acceptant and loving of each other, though, turns out, it doesn't change a thing as we're all just pawns in someone else's game.
It's crucial to remember that no matter how uneasy and terrifying these days are, sooner or later, we will finally get that clear sky above our heads. And maybe, just maybe, a time will come when there will be no more life-taking conflicts. For now, if you would like to support Ukraine during these horrific times, you can donate by clicking right here.
Bored Panda has gathered a few powerful artworks that folks around the globe so lovingly dedicated to Ukraine and its people in support of the ongoing crisis.

On point! We need to remember that this is one man (and his staff), not all Russians.
I would like to mention: foreigners don't understand a range of repressions inside Russia. Those people who went out to meeting yesterday risk their lives for real. 1k+ people were arrested yesterday, some of them were taunted by policeman, some of them probably get insured or raped. Policeman shoots all meetings on cameras to haunt people later. Some people would be fired, arrested, pay unreal fines much more later (up to half of a year). That is what's happening to us whole last year.

As a US citizen, and one who definitely did not support the invasion of Afghanistan AND Iraq in 2002, I have always stood for peace over conflict.
This one is like putting a swastika and Jewish star on those fingers. This is how it feels for a Ukrainian person. No one is "having a conflict". One country invaded another. Russian people are killing Ukrainian people. Putin didn't personally go to Bucha. Please stop promoting these general "peace" visuals, name the villain, call war war and don't hide it behind peace signs and doves.

The ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine that began in February 2014 has sadly turned into something that ordinary people were so afraid of. Governments decided to get into a bloody fight, selfishly ignoring the well-being of innocent citizens, while focusing on achieving god knows what. All of us who so purely believed that, these days, events like that could've been easily avoided were, once again, proven wrong.
It appears that nothing we do or say can influence the actions of the folks above us, though it doesn't mean that we should tolerate it and wait for the storm to pass. People and politicians are two completely contrasting things that could never be compared, which is why it's crucial to stand and fight this evilness together.
actually, that would just lead to wwIII because of nato :(
Load More Replies...As people of the world, it's important to support our neighbours however and whenever we can. Undoubtedly, at times it might feel like everything is impossible; some folks might get arrested for voicing their support, others might end up dealing with even worse consequences. It's painfully upsetting to think that in 2022, conflicts that put ordinary families at risk are still real, and it all feels like a fever dream that you're trying so hard to wake up from.
Knowing that there're people out there that simply do not care about anything or anyone other than their own power is truly bloodcurdling.
Every piece of art is impressive, but this one tugs my mind. It is an amazing blend of beauty and tragedy. This Panda collection, along with other notable works, like photos of protests in Russia, events in Kyiv, the actions by Ukraine citizens, political cartoons, etc., would at some point make an irresistible exhibit/ experience. As the visitors to this possible show, we, the visitors, would HAVE to face and feel connected to the stunningly courageous Ukrainians AND with the Russian people who are risking their very lives as well, by publicly expressing their hatred of Putin, and connection with Ukrainians who may lose their treasured democracy. This is a pivot point the world is watching, and the ending may be a colossal tragedy. But we must continue to be involved, in whatever way possible. Thank you for this Panda series. It is painful to see, but extremely important.
This one really got to me. The colours of her indoor home radiate warmth whereas what is happening outside is anything but. War destroys and uproots so many lives.
This is so sad. I am Russian. Putin can go to hell and stay there. An elderly relative had a cardiac event yesterday watching the news and had to go to the hospital. I am terrified for the Ukrainian people. Russians are heavily divided over this. Some of us are very much against this invasion. Some think the sun shines out of Putin's butt. U.S. and NATO influence is also a heavy topic for debate. It feels strange that while we are having heated arguments over this people are suffering. All our shouting means nothing to the people in power.
AWW, that dear woman looks as scared as her poor dear sweet kitty 😿🥺
I'm obviously heart broken about the horror Ukrainian people are going through right now. I'm also concerned about pets and innocent animals in the area. I would be besides myself figuring out how to stay safe and keep my pets safe as well!
Fighting for the sake of portraying your leadership is the coldest and most inhumane thing one can do. It's simply beyond any belief and impossible to grasp that, in this day and age, country leaders haven't really tried to find a method to solve and communicate without destroying so many lives. It's a fact that our world is, unfortunately, suffering in so many other ways that we've been taking for granted and having folks that, in reality, take over our everyday lives shouldn't even be a real thing.
So many people's blood on your hands and that's what you want to be your legacy? Disgusting! Putin is a heartless, soulless bastard. We stand with Ukraine 🇺🇦
Vlad, remember how Mother Russia was founded. The population got fed up with the Romanovs, organized, grabbed them and shot them all dead in a basement. Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it. I'd like to think it will.
I'm so sickened for but proud of the Ukranian soldiers who told the Russian warship to go f*ck itself.
Spot on! Trump and Putin petulant toddlers. Both need a very small island to be sent to.
I don't have enough words to describe Putin. There is in fact no word in the world that can describe Putin.
Putin describes Putin. Any other word would be insulting to the word itself
Load More Replies...Putin has to be ill and is trying to go out with more power all he is doing is killing the remaining respect anyone held towards the man. Praying for those on both sides who are losing their lives needlessly.
Well, that selfish, self-centered b*****d (I'm not sure I can use the word I want there) got his wish for absolute power. Excellent comment.
The girl hugging the other one, not the war, ok, don't misunderstand.
Load More Replies...Hi, I'm the person behing this drawing, and I can assure you, the colours I used have nothing to do with Frozen. As I'm from Italy, and both Italy and Ukraine are in Europe, I used colours you would find to be pretty common in this continent (I actually based the hair colour of the girl on the left on my own hair colour) :')
Load More Replies...Bored Panda browsed the internet and collected the most inspiring and powerful art dedicated to Ukraine and its citizens. In these uncertain times, when nobody knows what tomorrow is going to bring, it is significant to show empathy towards those who were affected by the hand of this horrible attack, as together we're much stronger and are capable of putting an end to such an unnecessary but spine-chilling event. It's crucial to believe and stick together, as with love – there'll be peace.
This is so sad. Innocent people being terrorized by a very sick sociopath.
didn't want to produce something esthetic. but this is my view.

I am also praying for the poor people of Russia, who are being victimized by their government.
Pray for Ukraine and the rest of the world. Remember Afganistan is in danger too.
You will never be alone, People of Ukraine. We know it’s hard. Bombs and dynamite bursting every second.
Please, whatever the powers that be will do, let the dove win, and the beautiful, FREE country.
Putin is a terrible, selfish, delusional man whose means IN NO WAY justify his means. All of those innocent people- dead because of HIS awful decisions.
Nobody could ever foresee what the next day, the next month or the next year will bring to us. However – nobody ever "wins" a war, you can't win something that killed thousands of people, or frightened thousands of innocent children. There is only losing. No amount of power can ever justify these horrific battles, and all we can do is fight back – with our voices, with our support and empathy.
This one has made me crack, the only things I really need in this world are my wife and my animals, having to leave my animals would be hell, leaving my wife is unthinkable.
This made me cry. Damn Putin for this. He is a bad dream. He is a destroyer. I pray for everyone involved in this heart breaking tragedy. I hope and pray Putin loses all he has except for his life. Death would be too good for him.
Once again, the National Bank of Ukraine has opened a special fundraising account to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. If you would like to support Ukraine and its people, you can donate right here by clicking on this link.
War can never be won.
I'm guessing she's a person/character/belief deity from Ukraine? Would love to see a deeper context on this one, it's beautiful and deserves to be contextualized even further
Looking at these pieces makes my heart hurt for all of those Ukrainien people. I stand with Ukraine.
A mate for the black and white goddess above in this exhibit, with yellow and blue tears.
It is not your fault. It is one man and his staff.
Load More Replies...Unfortunately, Ukraine doesn't have any chance of surviving. Russia has so many troops and tech. Even if the United States gets involved Putin said (with some of my paraphrasing) "If any other countries interfere they will experience difficulties they've never experienced before" implying a war, or worse nuclear assault 😔
Update: okay this is a little late but Ukraine is doing better! Of course it's in ruin and in terrible shape but based on the news lately Ukraine stands at least a little chance

Yup I’m pretty damn afraid im sure the people in Ukraine are also pretty afraid of yk possibly dying at the hands of a lunatic. Think before you post maybe?
Load More Replies...So beautiful! Prayers for Ukraine as well as Russian protesters risking their lives!
Remember the long ago saying, used on stamps and posters, "Was is dangerous for children and other living things." ? Who could have predicted that they wouldn't stop.
May god bless those Ukrainian soldiers fighting those damn communist Russian bitches
To all Russians protesting and raising their voices against their leader in Russia for the last two days; we salute you!
How can the world watch, and not get involved. Yet how can we gset involved and set off what we fear would be the next choice of weapons. Impossible choice, yet Zalenskyy's, along with that of so many brave citizens, may face murder.
YES YES YES times 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000!
Load More Replies...Her furious anger could not be more appropriate. War is greedy and insane, just like Putin.
Let’s remember, the fight has been brewing more between the two leaders. That may or may not be the reason.
The Ukrainians are certainly praying; I so wish the world could stand physically together against this horror.
Honestly, this could be a depiction of several countries' leaders. Men playing games with innocent lives for personal gain.
There are certainly men who live by the motto "who's gonna stop me" and they should be identified and never given power (easier said than done in Russia I realize).
Load More Replies...A powerful political cartoon. I hope these amazing artists come from countries all over the world.
We need to remember that its Putin and his staff, not all of Russia. a few wicked people should not impact our view of the entire country.
That one says it all, and makes me shiver, and realize how little power I have.
I am so so so sorry, but this is to sad for me to continue. I stand with Ukraine, though!
this post inspired me to make something I just now: Screenshot...f1922b.png
Yes yes Richard Brady he is. I font like him either but trump is far worse, he supports this monstrosity, he supports Putin. Also Trump is 75 Biden is only 4 years older. So at least acknowledge that much.
Don't give him what is famously an anti-fascist and anti-government haircut, there is not a single punk in the world who has anything but pure disdain and hate for Putin or any of this nightmare b******t, you aren't and can't be a punk if you support any of this.
Thank you for saying this! Putin is a skinhead fascist d*ckhead that true punks spit upon
Load More Replies...We are fighting all, I reassure you Ukraine will not fall, my brothers and I will fight to the very end, Putin will never take Ukraine without a fight, and even if he take our capital, he are never able to hold us, those who survive will cause such ruckus that he will abandon and leave our homeland. Putin - Іди трахай себе боягузливою свинею
I am from Krasnoyarsk but stuck in U.S. right now. Keep fighting! Пу́тін — хуйло́, скотина говно́!!!!!! He and his yes men are garbage. I stand with you! Other Ruskii say I am wrong, but I know, Ukraina is yours and yours alone!

I hope she's safe, and is able to let you know how she's doing.

It can cause me anxiety/shame/guilt whenever I see other people with such strong reactions and I feel like I'm doing something bad or wrong.

Apparently he is now threatning sweden and finland, he is going off the rails. https://www.newsweek.com/russia-threatens-finland-sweden-nato-ukraine-invasion-1682715
Beautiful work showing support of Ukraine during an unnecessary war. Its heartbreaking to see these attacks going on in the Ukraine because of an egotistical tyrant. Prayers for all!🇺🇦
