Are My Parents Right To Lock Me Up As A Punishment For Bad Behavour ?
last weekend i was grounded for bad behavour, i sneaked out went to a party then came home at 1am smelling of alcohol, i had a row with my parents which resulted in me swearing at my mum, now my parents said my behavour will not be tolerated any longer, my parents said my punishment is to spend 4 weekends LOCKED in my room with the door LOCKED they said if i cant be trusted to stay in then i will be locked in , i have to eat in my room and am only allowed out for the bathroom, i am finding my punishment hard , tomorrow is my cousins 16th birthday party at a top theme park, i am invited but my parents said i cant go as i am being punished , my older sister says my punishment is long overdue and i deserve what i am getting do you agree ?

There punishment is unusual but mate you did sneak out and come home smelling like alchohol, so you were going to be punished regardless...
i am 15, i dont like being locked in my room its a misreable punishment ?

Second question: what did you expect? Getting away with it? Or getting busted and no consequences what so ever?
this is my 3rd weekend locked up in my room , i have no tv no phone and i am only allowed my pc for 3 hours per day as a privelege for good behavour, i miss my freedom so much , do you think i should now be let out ? and let off my final 2 weeks of punishment ?
Like everyone else asking, what’s your age? I got sloppy drunk at 15, came home and yelled at my mom. First AND last time I ever did that, I still cringe to this day at 33 years old. That was another age, I did get locked up in my room for a month :p. Times change, people change, I’m glad I got the punishments I did because I wouldn’t be TheGoodBoi I am now.
No that is not OK. Don't they know what happens to prison inmates who go to segregation. Its not good for your mental health and can be verry damaging. In pretty sure that's also illegal.

2.) Be glad that's the only punishment you received, I remember I got hanged upsidedown once for getting into a fight and answering back.
Just to add, it was only a minute because it really scared the hell out me and learned my lesson immediately.
NO, it's not okay to lock you up for even a day, it's dangerous! It sounds like your parents are frightened and at their wit's end about what to do to keep you safe. However, keeping you locked in is not a good solution it's abusive and likely illegal where you live. What if there were a fire? What if you were choking on the food?
