Anti-Vax Mom Of Cambridge 23YO Graduate Who Passed Away Of Cancer Claims Doctors ‘Gaslit’ Her
A UK anti-vaxxer mom, whose daughter passed away, is claiming that doctors violated post-Holocaust medical experiment laws in their treatment of her child.
Kate Shemirani, known for the COVID-era disinformation that led to her Twitter ban and the revocation of her nursing license, is facing counteraccusations from her sons, Gabriel and Sebastian, who blame her for their sister Paloma’s death in July 2024.

Taking to X–after being allowed back onto the platform when Elon Musk bought it–Kate wrote:
“Our daughter di*d following a chain of gross medical failings, breaches of consent law, falsified medical records, and reckless emergency drug use that violated every protocol for her age, weight, and clinical presentation.”
She went on to say that the 23-year-old was not “coerced” or “radicalized” leading up to her decision to turn down treatment for what doctors diagnosed as non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Speaking to the BBC on June 23, Sebastian said: “My sister has passed away as a direct consequence of my mum’s actions and beliefs and I don’t want anyone else to go through the same pain or loss that I have.”
Paloma’s twin brother, Gabriel, echoed the sentiment and was quoted as saying: “It would mean the world to me if I could make it that she wasn’t just another in a long line of people that die in this way.”

They say their sister was being beaten
Sebastian elaborated on his claims in an X post on the same day, saying, “Last year, Kay “Kate” Shemirani murdered my sister, her own daughter, Paloma.”
“Paloma was 23. She di*d from a totally curable cancer, 7 months after mistakenly putting her life in Kay’s hands. Kay was physically beating her until the week she di*d.”

Sebastian was not the only one alleging Paloma was abused by his mother.
The BBC reported that during the Christmas season of 2022, Paloma reached out to her then boyfriend, Ander Harris, saying, “I’m so so so sick of being abused.”
According to Harris, Kate’s treatment of her daughter would alternate between loving and caring, and toxic. One of the injustices suffered by Paloma was that Kate blamed for her brothers not visiting.
Kate, a deregistered nurse, believed she knew better than the doctors
Kate rubbished these claims and produced a document, allegedly written and signed by Paloma.
“I do NOT have a Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma b diagnosis. It is a differential diagnosis in which cancer could not be ruled out,” the document read.
She made no mention of doctors’ estimation that Paloma had an 80 percent chance of recovery.

In a wordy missive posted on X, Kate claimed that her daughter was “harassed and gaslit by parties seeking to force chemotherapy on her.”
She further noted that there was no conclusive evidence of cancer, but rather “inflammatory or infective markers ignored by clinicians.”
She also denied findings that her daughter di*d of cardiac arrest caused by her tumor and blamed her passing on an adrenalin overdose.

Her sons challenged these claims. Sebastian commented on her X tirade, saying “Hi Kay (your real name), it’s me, your son. The son you beat, isolated and abused for 17 years.”
He called out the purported legal document that Kate claimed was signed by Paloma before she succumbed to her illness, claiming that it was in fact a forgery and that he recognized the language in the document as his mother’s.
“How can you blame medical malpractice for Paloma’s d*ath, when YOU WOULDN’T LET HER SEE A DOCTOR after her diagnosis until her heart attack when it was already too late?” he asked.
He also accused her of murdering numerous other people with her theories.

Sebastian went on to talk about a for-profit cancer clinic run by Kate and her partner, Patrick Vickers, in Mexico.
“You’ve left a trail of mistakes,” Sebastian concluded, “just like any other serial k*ller. Time is running out for you. I’d log off and flee the country — but you’re a narcissist, so you’ll stay and keep running your mouth.”

Despite the overwhelming media coverage favoring of her son’s beliefs, Kate’s followers appeared resilient with some questioning Sebastian’s statement.
“Why hasn’t your mum been arrested and charged if she’s committed this heinous crime you are accusing her of and have evidence for?” asked one.
“Millions know without any input from your mother how wicked, corrupted and deceitful the medical establishment can be,” another wrote.
Not all the comments side with Kate. On netizen, supporting the two brothers wrote: “There are some awful people coming after you on here. You and your brother will have to be strong to cope with this lot.”

Really, really sad. My only thought is her age and why she didn't take matters into her own hands. My brother had colo-rectal cancer. Surgery and chemo, all good. Without it, he'd be dead right now.

Abused kids generally don’t stand up for themselves, as that usually makes the abuse worse, which is a hard habit to break, even when you grow up and get away from it. She just didn’t know she had the strength to stand up for herself and live—-plus the support of her brothers, who I know would’ve dropped everything to come help her get away from their godawful egg donor, by force and/or police/legal intervention if necessary.
