Another Light-Infrared Photography

I hope you’re doing great! My name is Tianrun Shi, and I’m a photographer based in Los Angeles, California. I really appreciate how Bored Panda inspires and connects artists.

I’d love to share a project I’ve been working on for a while now. It’s called ‘Infrared Landscapes,’ and it’s all about taking pictures with infrared cameras. I mostly take pictures of landscapes, and I’m fascinated by how the plants and other things in the scene turn into these beautiful pinkish-red colors when you use infrared light.

I use a special technique called trichrome to make my pictures. I take three black-and-white pictures with different color filters, and then I combine them to make one color print. It’s like a magic trick! I’m not just trying to revive old film stock, I’m also trying to show people how amazing the everyday world can be if you just look at it from a different angle.
