And They Lived Happily Ever After

I was to graduate at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, but I was totally hopelessly heatbroken becouse of a breakup. I could not think of anything else, but the day of the graduating came, so I decided to paint this mood itself. I was angry with the fairy tales, which always end like: and they lived happily ever after. I was not living happily at all. But the grief was changing during the painting process: haggling, anger, and acceptance… in the end I was looking to myself: were you totally out of your mind? Thats why I have chosen to paint the paintings with the attributes of kitsch – a form of self-irony.
