I’m an urbexer from Poland.
Everything started in 2002, I mean my passion. Since then I’ve been urbexing a lot both in my homeland and in other UE countries. The location I wanted to share with you today is an abandoned cottage from 1858. I found it by accident during the trip through the region where I live.
It was an ordinary journey like many other. I was looking for the abandoned houses in my closest neighborhood.
I’ve been traveling for hours between the local fields and forests where many old and interesting locations can be found. Finally the one I mentioned before, appeared in the horizon.
Of course, I was very excited and curious of this cottage. I decided to take a look around and check if it’s open, and you know what? It was!
I was so happy. The house was full of memories which you could almost feel in the air.
There were a lot of private items left. For me it was real adventure and some kind of travelling in time. I wanted to know as much as possible about the owners and their life.
Basing on the documents that I found I figured out that the last owner of the cottage was Mrs. Władysława. She died in 2008. After her death nobody cared about the house. Condition of the cottage was getting worse and worse year by year. The roof made of cane has been collapsing partially.
I try to visit this place whenever I have some time. It’s very sad to watch how this beautiful cottage is dying.
I’m really glad that I doccumented this little miracle and I can share it with people.
