Okay, so this may take a minute to explain, but it is an issue that has been bothering me for awhile and I thought maybe y’all could help me figure out if I’m just crazy or the a**hole. So, my then boyfriend of 5 yrs (M 62yo) and I (F 55yo) had to make a 3 hour round-trip to collect car pymt + insurance pymt from his “stepdaughter” (F 42yo but her mother and stepdad had been apart for over 12 yrs) because, despite being gainfully employed and regularly receiving substantial child support payments, could not be bothered with sending payments on time which jeopardized his credit score. Anyway, we agree to meet at a restaurant to pickup payment and have breakfast. The stepdaughter brings her youngest daughter (8yo) along although it is a regularly scheduled school day. Okay ….. no worries …. the child is adorable. But then, in my mind, everything just started going way off the rails as stepdaughter starts scrolling through her phone showing her “stepdad” before & after photos of her friends (5 friends!) breast augmentations! Wait .. . It gets better (or worse … depending) she proceeds to show him simulated pictures of her upcoming breast augmentation and wants his advice. I was beyond shocked, mortified, embarrassed and very simply excused myself from the table. It took my boyfriend 45 minutes to figure out I wasn’t in the bathroom but outside waiting by his truck. We’ve been together for another 7 yrs after this incident but it is definitely still a “hot topic”.
