The World’s Angriest Cat Who Has Been In Shelter For Over 1 Year Now, And Her Face Says It All
Having a bad day? Spare a thought for Shamo, the cranky cat who seems to be permanently pissed off with the world. Shamo has been stuck in a Tokyo shelter for over a year now and she clearly disapproves.
She has her own page on the shelter website as well as a Twitter account (@shamo_girl), and on first glance at her pics you could be forgiven for thinking they had been photoshopped. How can a cat be so angry, so often? Maybe it’s just a bad case of RBF (Resting Bitch Face), or maybe Shamo just needs a good home and a little love, and needs it right now.
Would you adopt Shamo? We know we certainly would!

It pisses me off that people wont adopt a beautiful animal just because of this facial feature. I bet she's a lovely cat and people just ignore her. It's like people not wanting to own black cats because they "don't look good in selfies" shittiest thing I've ever heard!

Looks just like my old cat Holly her expression. We always said she looked like she was sucking a nettle she was bad tempered too made me laugh all the time her bad temper that made me love her so much. She had character. Wish I was on the same continent.

Aw, I bet she's sweeter than she looks! I might look a bit cranky, too, if someone put a cookie on my without my permission! Kudos to the shelter in Japan for not putting her down after 3 days, like most shelters here would do!

Reminds me of Sophie, the cat we adopted. Everyone thought she looked grumpy, but she was the most affectionate girl ever, and she loved her daddy more than anyone.

It could just be my imagination but it looks like a sweet cat. I think the expression is just the shape of her eyes. I used to have an angry cat and she never got an angry "human" look, she got an angry "cat" look.

Darling expression. Cant believe he hasnt been adopted. Just dont use him for coldCATS he wont mix very well on a ssndwich of mustard, lettuce and tomatoe. Please dont even think about killing this sweet kitty. I know chinese eat dog, am hoping not kitty cat, too
