I was bleeding to death in my third month. Dr said I was miscarryng and I will pass. IT DIDNT, I as gettng weaker and weaker and bleeding. Finally Dr told me to go to planned parenthood a get an abortion. My sister helped me pay for it. I was married but we both had been looking for jobs, just out of high school. I was better instantly. Dr told me fetus would have been deformed. A miscarriage usually means something is wrong. I have a wonderful life and had 4 more children. And now I have 7 grandchildren. Don't tap this decision from the woman or the Drs.

This has to be one of the hardest decisions a person has to make, and I think you made the right one.

This is the unfortunate case where the life of the mother is at stake. Even though it's sad that one human being had to die to save another (otherwise they would both be dead), I don't think that any pro-life person objects to this.

When i was in elementary school, i didn't know the old guard was a pedophile, until one of my school mate pregnant (but adults in school be like "we shouldn't let everyone know this, it will ruin school's fame", so none of the pupils know that old guard is a pervert, we just be told that girl had to quit school because she was "sick"). Then when my period came when i 12 - 13 yr old, he put his filthy hands on me, and he treatened me "Don't u dare to tell anyone", but i tell, so i don't have to end up like this poor girl.

I think there was some education lacking. They should teach about sex and birth controlle in your schools. I think we discussed this in school when I was around 13

That really pisses me off. I want my uterus removed so I can’t fall pregnant, have no periods and not get early menopause. But I am deemed too young as I might want more kids. I have 2 children and I am 100000% sure I don’t want anymore. If my contraception fails I will be opting for an abortion. I hope it doesn’t happen but if it does that is the choice I will make.

I've got a friend with PCOS who's going through the same b******t where the hospitals are refusing her surgery because "her future man might want kids some day", what a load of s**t. Hospitals should NOT have the power to make those kinds of judgement calls.

I have 0 maternal instincts. Never ever wanted children. But when I asked I was too young and not married. “You’ll change your mind when you get married”. I didn’t get married till I was 35. Still never changed my mind.

Again, it's people telling women what they want, and IGNORING them. Why is it so acceptable for people to literally ignore someone's choices over their own body?? if someone changes their mind, it's *their* responsibility!! No-one else's!! If she had the tubal ligation and later regretted it - that's *her* responsibility.

I knew at 5 or 6 that I didn't want to be a mother. I was very confident about it by 16. But I was 38 before I got past my gatekeeper GP and to a gynecologist who agreed to cauterize my tubes. I just turned 50 - have never changed my mind.

And this is what it will turn back into if we make them illegal and unobtainable. Abortions have taken place since the ancient Egyptians. Women are going to do them no matter what the laws are.

oh god... this made my literally cry out loud. THIS is why a *safe* OPTION needs to be available. Noone is saying that *everyone* must have abortions. What is being said, is that a SAFE CHOICE MUST BE AVAILABLE. Making them "illegal" doesn't change the fact that they WILL happen. It's 2019 for goodness sake!!!

PLEASE make this higher. This is exactly what we will revert to if these laws keep passing. Why doesn’t anyone remember the horrible stories and pictures of backdoor abortions. Why can’t people just mind their own bodies. 😔

It is absolutely horrible that you did not have access to safe abortion.

My mother was 19. Her father would've killed her, she said. It was done on the kitchen table with a sharpened stick. She was hospitalized. She nearly bled to death. She was one of the lucky ones who went on to have children when the time and situation was right .

This happened to me too! The guy removed the condom without me knowing...He did it because "They feel weird and I don't like them". Not ok.
