Aita For Possibly Starting An Argument Which Caused A Friend To Leave Our Groupchat?

So me (f13) and all of my friends (all f13) have a group chat where we just talk about school and where we are able to communicate with each other. Well our one friend, “Sally” recently left the group chat, and i’m wondering if i am a jerk because I feel like i sort of caused it.

My other friend, “Sarah”, does volleyball with Sally. They have had volleyball practices all summer. The only problem is, the gym has NO air conditioning. It is suffocatingly hot in there, due to it being 95+ degrees (F) almost daily. This is a horrible environment for minors to be running around in and exerting themselves in.

So me and Sarah were discussing it in the group chat and I was saying how they need to fix it because it’s ridiculous that they don’t have air conditioning. Two girls have already almost passed out in there. Well, I was ranting about how they need to fix it, when Sally jumps in to the middle of the conversation and goes:

“MadameMalfoy…I know it sounds bad, but sometimes it better for us bc we train there and other teams haven’t, so bc they train with ac and we dont, it lets us have the better advantage”

(word for word)

At this point we were all confused. Looking back, I understand what she was saying, but I don’t know what the “advantages” would be. So when Sarah and I said we didn’t understand, she started getting mad at us.

At one point, Sarah said that there were not any advantages bc the girls aren’t used to the heat at all. As mentioned before, two girls already almost passed out. Well, when Sarah said there were not any advantages, Sally LOST IT. “Daisy” (another friend) said,

“not to be rude- but you want them to possibly pass out from heat?” (them being the other team)

That probably wasn’t the best response, but that is what is sounded like Sally was saying. Sally said

“NO”

“IM DONE”

“BYE”

and then straight up dipped. IMO, i thought she was overreacting. Me and Sarah weren’t even being rude. I thought we were just having a friendly debate until Sally just lost it.

Sally then ignored us at Open House but then made another group chat excluding Daisy and another girl.

I’m confused. Would I be at fault and are my friends and I in the wrong?
