30 Times People Got More Than They Paid For In Their Airbnb Apartments And Met The Cutest Animals
Sometimes you just want to get away from it all and take a solo vacation - but as social creatures sometimes isolation sounds better in theory. Luckily for the people on this list they had some furry companions to keep them company during their Airbnb stay. These sweet dogs and cats may have been better hosts than their owners were, providing services such as all-night cuddles, slobbery greetings upon arrival, ear licks and standing guard over the property while you enjoyed your holiday. Yes, there is no doubt that all of the people at these listings served up 5 stars for their four-legged hosts - which, as you will see, was well deserved. Staying At An Airbnb And I Woke Up To Their Kitten This Morning Licking My Face. Instant 5 Star Review
Pretty kitty might just "accidentally" wind up in a guest's bag. Adorbs.
No, I swear! I haven't seen your kitten. Maybe she ran off? Oh, well gotta go...

My Airbnb Has A Bellhop Now
Airbnb Host Was Concerned I Would Cancel Because He Had Puppies. Instead, I Stayed An Extra Week!
I would advertise the puppies as part of the package. Who doesn't love puppies
The proof we all love puppies comes through on the brain freeze post, when people couldn't remember baby or foal, so they became human puppies or horse puppies!!!
Load More Replies...What kind of monster would cancel because of having to be around PUPPIES. I mean seriously, thats an amazing perk!
Someone who's allergic to dogs. But if you're not allergic, there's no way you're going to resist puppies.
Load More Replies...If you don't have an animal, but like the people on the list would be welcome to a furry surprise host, you can check the amenities section of the listing to see if there are pets already at the listing. If you see 'Pet Owner' then expect to see another host roaming around at your vacation spot. Just because a host already has a pet does not necessarily mean you can bring your own so always check.
This Sweet Boy Benny Greeted Us With His Teddy Bear When We Got To Our Airbnb
It is a gift - mine did it with her favorite toy - to let people know she liked them. She wrecked every toy other than her Eyeore, Winnie the Poo and Tigger. Soon as you touched it she would let go its-MINE-5...f639d6.jpg
Such a cute boy. Our family dog never failed to greet us with something in his mouth, a shoe, sock, toy. He never chewed, just carried gently.

Omg look at his lil' teeth.... XD this is cuteness overload!!!!!!!!!! 😍
Why are we so drawn to animals and why do they instantly brighten our day? Well unless you're allergic, animals are proven therapy for humans and research has the data to back it up. One example is of the relationship between dogs and humans. Studies have shown that dogs relieve stress.
This Majestic Beast At My Airbnb
So fluffy. Airbnb should make a section called: Comes with fluff and noses. 😄💓
Wow.. what a gorgeous floof ♡ behind all of that beauty though, she kind of looks like she wants to steal a part of your soul when you leave 🤩
Heard A Lot Of Airbnb Horror Stories. This Is Not One Of Them
And there's a gorgeous kitty on the bed! I bet that dog snores louder than she does!
She's sleeping on the floor because the cat's got the bed... smart cat ;)
Assume he or she is not allowed on the bed, so the humon just joined on the floor.
Are you sure? It seems to me that the cat chased the two of you out of the bed. ;-)
In a study of college students at the University of British Colombia, therapy dogs were provided to 246 students to pet and cuddle with for drop-in sessions. The results, published in Stress and Health, showed a significant decrease in stress levels, increased happiness, and higher energy after the sessions. Stanley Coren, study co-author and professor emeritus of psychology at UBC said: “We found that, even 10 hours later, students still reported slightly less negative emotion, feeling more supported, and feeling less stressed, compared to students who did not take part in the therapy dog session.”

Benefits from pets don't only apply to dogs, but cats as well. A study was done by Cats Protection in 2011 involved 66 cat and non-cat owning participants, who described themselves as currently having mental health problems. The survey found that 87% of people who owned a cat felt it had a positive impact on their well-being and 76% said they could cope better with everyday life thanks to their feline. A third of respondents described petting their cat as a calming activity.
Last Month We Hit The Airbnb Jackpot
Beautiful girl! I bet she's quite vocal and has a lot to say, besides, "Welcome to your AirBNB, hooooomin! Miaow!"
Our Airbnb Came With A Flying Dog!
Cat companions can also have a positive effect on your heart. One study over a 10-year period showed that cat owners are 30 percent less likely to die of a heart attack or a stroke than non-cat owners. This takes into account that cat owners might be more relaxed or stressed people in general.
First Time Airbnb... Never Saw This Cutie Before. Slept The Whole Night On My Blanket
Yeah! We call my cat toothless sometimes because of the big eyes and black fur-but I guess he likes to prove he is not by biting me lol

My Airbnb Host Has A Dog. I Got Up To The Bathroom, Came Back To This
Awww heck yeah! I have a beagle and he is the BEST dog ever! I'd want to kidnap this sweet awrrooooooo-er!
Reminded me of walking my two in the park and they started having a barking session at something, can't remember what, but they set off a passing beagle - Awrooooo is right. So funny - in the nicest way.
Load More Replies...It was warm. My son's beagle, Jake, has a fluffy bed and a blanket, which he knows how to pull over himself to stay warm. Sweet dog.

Part of being a healthier human includes sleep. Multiple studies in the UK have shown that people (particularly women) prefer sleeping with their cats over their partners, and even reported better sleep. In addition to this report, the Mayo Clinic Center for Sleep Medicine revealed that 41% of people in the study indicated they slept better because of their pet and only 21% said it led to disturbances.

Arrived At My Air Bnb For The Night And Made Friends With The Cat, Turns Out He Doesn't Even Live Here!
While this list only includes cats and dogs, there are some pretty exotic service animals that one may come across. According to the ADA (Americans With Disabilities), a service animal is any animal that provides assistance to a person with a disability. These include: miniature horses, ferrets, boa constrictors, parrots, potbelly pigs, and capuchin monkeys.
I Rented A Place Off Airbnb And It Said There Were A Few Dogs On The Property. This Little Fella Was One Of Them. Best Rental Ever
Comment upon departure: "We, uh, never saw any dogs though. Nope. They were definitely NOT here when we arrived." ::backpack barks:: "Gotta go!"

Service animals are meant to help their owners with specific tasks, however, emotional support animals are easier to qualify because they don't need to be as highly trained. In order for a person to legally qualify for an emotional support animal: "He/she must be considered emotionally disabled by a licensed mental health professional (therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, etc.), as evidenced by a properly formatted prescription letter."
Woke Up Next To This Guy At An Airbnb Room I'm Staying At
I melt when they do that upside down head thing! I had a rescue cat who did that when he was totally blissed out. He's been gone three years, and I miss still miss that, even though my new rescue cat brings me much joy.

Those aren't derpy eyes those are the result of genetic defects in Aussie Shepherds called "Double Merles" The merle gene produces the white coat and double merles come with things like deafness, lack of pigmentation which causes the pink on the noses (not albinism) and starburst patterns in the iris.

Staying At A Airbnb In Puerto Vallarta. They Failed To Mention The Best Feature Of The House!
Kitties and doggies are the best sweetest animals to share space with. Growing up it was cats. As an adult, dogs are super great ! Sweet and loving !
Not used Air B&B yet - but would be over the moon if they had cat's/dogs. Would be begging to have them bother me.
I don't understand how you rent a room out and then let your animals pester the people that rented it out.. some of these are wicked cute but I don't know how I'd feel about a cat sleeping next to my face all night. Don't hate me!! I have a cat that I love and I think these pics are wicked cute- I'm just a realist lol
All you need to do is let the hosts know you dont want the animal in your room and keep the door shut
Load More Replies...As someone who is literally deathly allergic to cats (asthma attacks and emergency room visits) I hope that the owners advise that they own cats and it's not a surprise 😬
With such a serious allergy you obviously need to check 100% beforehand with every place you plan to visit. Where I am in the UK, Pub owners generally live on the premises and some have pets. My local pub has a cat which is often in the bar. Another has a dog.

I 'fell in' to Air B& B when my ex left as had big house and needed more income. I ended up doing Booking.com and winning an award! It was the best experience of my life! People are amazing, I loved hearing their tales of far off lands. Have a dalmatian and he was a massive hit, though he wasnt allowed in breakfast room or their rooms..one or two did sneak him in...I'd suddently realise he was 'missing'! Most folk wanted to meet him and have their pictures taken with him when they left. I never though I would love having folk in my home as much as I did. Have a much smaller house now, but will be doing it again when the room is ready! x
If I stayed somewhere there was a dog - I most likely would encourage theim in too.

After sleeping in the tent all night, we woke up to this load sound..almost like machinery over towards the water. Never knew a group of animals could make that much noise!
The ADA only shows dogs and miniature horses as service animals. Not ferrets, boa constrictors, parrots, potbelly pigs, and Capuchin monkeys as the article states. Plus, the link takes you to the wrong place.
My dog barely tolerates guests while I'm there. I don't think she'd make a good host. I'd also be extremely worried about leaving my pet with a stranger.
I was thinking the same thing. My dog is really social, but I'd be wary leaving her with strangers too.
