Writer Chaz Hutton created a brilliant series of simple illustrations on sticky-notes to illustrate the grim everyday realities of adult life. Using stick-figure comics and hilarious graphs, he makes our grown-up gripes and little pleasures all too real.

If you like Hutton's everyday observations, be sure to follow his Instagram. If you want more works like this, check out these funny illustrations by Mikael Wulff and Anders Morgenthaler, who also like to poke fun at everyday life.

34 and right on schedule. Doors open at 7am, already checking out by 7:15. You have the whole store to yourself, it's amazing.

Where's the one where you leave it on the counter and skip over the holder altogether, or am I alone.

Well clearly the second one is the right one - and the first one is what's left

I was told the second one was wrong due to the fact u can't see the spider hiding under the paper flap

Thank you, I'm not alone there! Though I saw the australian reasoning on it once with the spider hidden behind the loose hanging paper. Which in Australia is totally reasonable. Maybe we're actually Australians incognito?

I do the right one because I'd rather not have the toilet paper brush up against the possibly dusty and dirty walls before using them to wipe my a*s.

The one to the left will save paper. This is however only an issue outside of Japan :-) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLlhs-7T7Cw The bidet cleans up well before you wipe :) No sore asses...unless that is..you get an infection from the water (which can happen)

Ugh, damn near everyone takes selfies with everything regardless of whether there are people or not. Drives me insane.

The blue line should be green and purple (politics) and the red line should be red and blue :)
