About To Be A Dad, I Made This Little Gift For Our Girl As A Peace Offering Because I’m Absolutely Terrified Of Her

I was cutting some Dogwood logs into boards and ended up with a few interesting looking bits along the ends. After staring at them for a while I decided to make a little gift as a peace offering for our daughter because at the moment I am terrified of her, and it’s all I can think about.

I liked the idea of the 3 mountains representing us as a family, the bark will fall off in bits over time and the wood may crack here and there, just like her parents!

The base is made from a beautiful plank of African Padauk, a heavy and dense wood with a brilliant orange/red coloring. Build video is captioned with additional info of the step-by-step process.
